Restoring America Rally

Congratulations to Glen Beck for his tribute to honor the heroes of this country. In a beautiful sentiment to this country, Glen Beck not only honored the founders of this nation, he honored the memory of Martin Luther King on the 47th anniversary of his famed "I Have A Dream" speech. One of his guests was the niece of King, Dr. Alveda King. She gave a rousing speech that stirred the crowd. Close to half a million people came to Beck's tribute, people from all over the world. They listened to words of faith, inspiration and joy. People, Black, White, and Asian joined together leaving politics at home.
Listening to a Vietnam veteran lead the closing prayer brought tears to the eyes of even the strongest and hardiest people, when Beck related the story of how his face was injured when he took a grenade blast rather than have anyone else be hurt. When he wept into his pillow and turned away, his face remained in the pillow and he only had one eye left. He turned to God to heal and he has healed in mind and body and his prayer was very moving. We heard voices raised in praise to God and in song, as black and white alike sang "Amazing Grace" to the accompaniment of the bagpipes.
Following, at the end, were song tributes from several country western singers. A beautiful day, a beautiful tribute, and beautiful words to honor this nation.
Farther away, in the distance, Rev. Al Sharpton's group gathered in tribute to Martin Luther King, but his words were not for the healing of the country. No, they were cruel and divisive. You have to ask yourself, why does a man of God continue to denigrate and divide his people against white people. And yet he's not considered a racist?
Every report that I have seen so far is trying to divide and denigrate what was done in D.C. today. But I forget: these are the people who ridicule the right and their belief in God. These are the people who believe in abortion and the taking of innocent lives; these are the kind of people who want to keep racism alive.
Glen Beck raised over 5 million dollars for his charity: the Special Ops Warriors Organization. Again, Congratulations to Beck for staging an extremely successful event. God is surely reigning down blessings upon this man who so eloquently asked his attendees to carry the message of faith to the world. ~One Voice

To Mosque or Not to Mosque - That is the Question

Yes, the Islamists have every right to their religion and to build a mosque legally where they want. But don't you find it strange that it has to be close to the sight of the most heinous attack in modern history?
Humanely, it is not the right thing to do. They already have 30 mosques in the state of New York. If they want to build another one to worship in, that is fine, but the location is not. It's like thumbing their nose at the survivors and the families of this tragic event. If the Imam is intent on using this site for the mosque, you have to wonder why it must be there, right in the shadow of the 9/11 massacre. Is it possible that they want it as a memorial to the men who destroyed the towers?
No one disputes their right to build a mosque and to worship as their religion compels them to do. But what about the rights of the victims families who view this area as a burial ground for their dead? What about their rights? Do they not have the right to share their disgust at the Mayor for okaying this venture? Their wounds are still bleeding; it is an emotional tug at their hearts as they try to work through their grief and misery and live their lives, forever changed by the murderous acts of 19 men.
Can this Imam not understand why they do not want that mosque anywhere near the hallowed ground where their loved ones died such an unspeakable death? It will be a constant reminder of what happened. A permanent thorn piercing their hearts, already damaged by the tragedy of that unforgettable day.
If this is indeed to be a place of worship, why does it matter if it is in another location? If the Imam is a man of faith, he would understand the heartfelt anguish the victims families are going through and try to ease their torturous burden.
Time may ease the burdens somewhat, but the memories are still there, the pain still aches for those who were taken away by acts of those madmen.
The time has come for the Mayor to back down and give the Islamists an alternative that is less hurtful to the New Yorkers who lost family members on 9/11. Ten years hasn't yet passed since this horrible event that shaped and changed lives forever, and yet he can sweep it all away by saying that we need to move on, to allow the mosque to be built to heal the city. But all he has done, is stirred up more feelings of angst.
Nice going, Mr. Mayor! How are your chances for re-election? Oh, that's right, you were supposed to have stepped down after 2 terms, yet you bought your way back in. How could I possibly think you'd be noble enough to understand the pain and suffering of the families left devastated by the tragedy of 9/11?
The mosque needs to be moved. Some say that it will never be built because no construction crew will work on this building. Maybe that is true. Only time will tell. Governor Patterson is trying to offer an alternative location. Let's hope that the Islamists agree.
This is a tender emotional subject for New Yorkers. Let's give them a break. ~ One Voice

Insurance Companies Hiking Rates

The promises of cheaper insurance rates were a pipe dream. Insurance companies are raising their rates astronomically to prepare for the hits they will take when Obamacare goes into effect in 2014.
Yesterday Bill O'Reilly of Fox News stated he received his insurance bill and it jumped up $2100. He didn't mention which insurance company but according to his facts, they are all going to stick it to the people in advance of Obamacare so they can get back all the money they will lose in the future. He stated his yearly bill will be 20,000 dollars to insure 4 people. Like he said, "I can afford it, but what about the people who can't?"
Many Americans will be without health care. More and more people will be forced onto the government rolls. And, as more and more doctors refuse to accept Medicaid, the ER's will become even more overcrowded as people start using the ER's as a clinic. Obama wanted a public option and it looks like he's going to get it. Was that the plan all along? Force people onto the government plan whether they like it or not.
As this country becomes more and more socialized and we copy the Canadian/English health care plans, we soon won't be able to recognize the America that used to be the greatest country in the world.
Where did we go wrong? I'll tell you. The country was so against the Republicans and George Bush, they opted to take the other road and elected a Socialist. His smooth talking style fooled everyone from college kids to middle-aged America to the Media. He promised change and boy, did we get it. Change from middle/centrist beliefs to the far left agenda. If you've ever listened to Michael Savage, he calls liberalism "a mental disorder." Mr. Teleprompter spoke of change and the truth is, when he gets through with us, that's all we'll have left: change.
He is about to subject the middle class with the largest tax hike ever when he lets the Bush tax cuts expire. And all this talk about not raising taxes on the lower income people is just that, talk!
We are already being taxed through the whole insurance mess that he has created. That is how they get around not having a public option. They will say, "Oh, we didn't get the public option." It's all smoke and mirrors, folks. It's just disguised with a different name.
You may remember that I've said Obama is getting ready to "fix" his re-election by legalizing the Hispanics so they will vote for him. Even after the ACORN scandal, he is busy "fixing" it so even more people are registered by allowing Job and Family Services organizations to register voters. How can this be legal? Government employees who are handing out food stamps and welfare and saying "Don't forget to vote for Obama. He's giving you a helping hand. Now you have to help him."
If he wanted to help this country, Obama would stop allowing the states to send work out of the country, when we need jobs so desperately. But, instead he encourages his democratic governors to send work overseas, while Americans fight to meet their bills and stay in their homes. He wants us to be at the mercy of the government. That's all part of the master plan.
Why isn't he stopping the big insurance companies from giving their execs millions of dollars while allowing these companies to raise their rates so normal people cannot afford to secure insurance for their families without taking out a loan? And why is he protecting union leaders pensions while letting the workers lose more and more jobs and their own pensions?
George Bush was accused of protecting big business and allowing them to send jobs away. How is Obama any different? The comparisons are justified.
Don't get me wrong. While I didn't agree with George Bush on everything, I know in my heart that we would not be as bad off if he were still president. That's another trick of Obama's. He's still blaming Bush 2 years after he took office. What does that say about his integrity?
The mess that this country is in is on one man: Barack Hussein Obama. And it's just beginning. If Obamacare is not repealed, we will witness the destruction of the greatest medical system in the world. Let's not let him get away with it.
It's time for a change, all right. Take back our country NOW! ~ One Voice
