Three words can sum up Obama's meeting with the Repbulicans today: Waste of time! With cameras rolling and covering the event, it was quite obvious that Obama has no intention of trying to work with anyone. He is sticking by his agenda, plain and simple. He's not willing to bend, or negotiate on anything.
At least now the country will witness his inability to be flexible with anyone who has the nerve and gall to question his policies. He wants the Republicans to kowtow to his will, but he won't bend at all. Inflexibility should be his middle name.
Maybe now Americans will wake up and get the picture. I'm sure if there was no TV coverage, Obama would have stayed home. But this time the coverage will show his absolute stubborn stance. Never mind what the people want, it's Obama's way or the highway.
I can't wait until November. I thought maybe the Massachusetts loss of Kennedy's seat would wake him up and his fellow Democrats. Even they are beginning to question his leadership skills.
Rumors are spreading rapidly that his whole plan to try the Al Quaeda prisoners in New York is falling apart right before his eyes. Even Barbara Boxer and Chuck Schumer are standing firm against such a plan. It looks like the trial might take place in Gitmo after all. I'm sure this was a big blow to Obama. But can you blame New York? They would have to shoulder another financial hit to provide security for this mockery. And spend millions doing so.
Republicans should stand firm and wait for the November elections and they will sweep the House. The American public is sick and tired of Obama's refusal to listen to the voice of the people. And his speech may have hinted at listening to the people, but he is not doing it. The constituents are fuming at this latest snub.
All he has done is reinforce the whole idea behind the Tea Party movement. The people want their voices heard. Maybe come November, Obama will learn that fact.
In the meantime, he won't listen to any ideas but his own and that can only spell defeat for his programs. So much for working with the Repbulicans. just another Obama untruth. ~Onve Voice

State of the Union
The state of the union is in disarray as Obama comes before the American people trying to say what a great job he is doing on their behalf. I only watched this speech because I wanted to see if the agenda would change from far left to centrist. And it has not.
I'm so glad he told me that the economy is on the rise. For a moment I thought that it was on the decline since the jobless rate continues to climb; and since my dollars don't buy near as much at the grocery store. My friends who cannot find a job will be glad to hear that too.
The senior citizens will be glad to know that even though they didn't get a raise this year in Social Security benefits, the nation is sound. Cancer patients are being turned down for treatment, but he's still backing that health care bill that punishes people who are sick and people that rely on those benefits to pay their bills. Notice how he doesn't mentioned how he cut Medicare benefits. His philosophy is get rid of the elderly; they cost too much. Nothing changed there.
Again, he's brought up the same tired rhetoric he preached on the campaign trail. Even though, he has not implemented a single promise made during the election campaign. Words roll easily off his tongue, as easily as they roll across the teleprompter.
Higher education breaks are nice, but let's see him follow through on this one. Because before a kid can even get through his first year at the university, he has to start paying on that loan; even though he doesn't have a job because he's going to school or carrying a full load to get through faster.
The man is so filled with arrogance; He's going to creat a perfect country. He will end all wars. Note, he doesn't say anything about winning or victory. Just that the troops will be coming home. That's what his far left friends want. Not to protect this country by keeping the terrorists at bay. Same lyrics he's sung before.
He is asking for the removal of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy. On that we can all agree. Anyone should be able to serve their country.
This past week, a highly democratic state voted for a republican to take Ted Kennedy's long held seat. The democrats are behind in the polls of all those running for re-election, many of them by double digits. The end of democratic majority will soon be but a memory.
If he really wanted to do something for this country, he would insist on term limits for Congress. The time has come. Despite the age discrimination cries, it is time to send those home who are too old to care or know what is happening.
And if the Obama is insisting we pass health care reform, let him give us the plan that Congress enjoys. After all, they work for us. We should have the same plan or they should go on ours. And theirs is for the rest of their life whether they are defeated or not; whether they go home or stay.
For the most part what Obama has said is more of the same. Continual references to the "past adminstration", praising himself for his accomplishments, and promising us the moon. We already know he can't deliver.
He needs to listen to the voices of the people. His plans to go to the center have failed as he clings to the policies he deems important. The Tea Party advocates won big tonight. Obama cannot let go of his stubborn demeanor.
And insulting the Supreme Court, the highest law of the land, is not any way to court the people.
With his arrogant stubborn attitude, Obama has continued to inflame the people. He will bring about change; the change to another President in 2012.~One Voice

Great Scott: Mass. Upset
Ted Kennedy's seat has been won by a Republican! How's that for an upset!
It's been many years since a Republican was seated in one of the most liberal states in America. But I am so proud of the Massachusetts people for taking a stand against the Obama administration.
They've let our leaders know that we don't want politics as usual. And Americans, the majority of them, do not want a healthcare reform bill jammed through against our wishes. Yes, we know we need reform, but we don't need another welfare program for those who refuse to work. Let the best heads of both parties come together and work out the logistics on a bi-partisan basis to correct what's wrong with healthcare.
Congratulations to Scott Wilson for winning over both parties. He will be a breath of fresh air in stale D.C. But, Republicans, don't get complacent. Your jobs are in jeopardy as well as the Democrats. It's no longer strictly party politics. The people of America are staging a revolt against the "old way" of governing.
Finally, the current administration seems to have gotten the message: America is angry.
Now we hear Ms. Pelosi doesn't have the votes to pass healthcare; we may have to start over. Harry Reid is humble (that in itself is a miracle). The shot heard round the world was fired by Scott Wilson's victory in Massachusetts.
The liberal faction may make fun of the tea party movement, but it is here to stay. The taking back of America has begun and this is just the beginning, Washington. Get used to it. ~One Voice

Acorn May Be Gone But...More to Come
Congress is doing its best to thumb their noses at the will of the people. Waiting in the wings is the newest legislation that will come up very soon: Universal Voter Registration. No wonder they aren't worried about their jobs.
This newest piece of trash that goes against our Constitution will allow anyone to register to vote: Illegal aliens, murderers, rapists, terrorists, anyone whose name appears on a government roll. Anyone who appears on welfare lists whether they are citizens or not, will be allowed to register to vote. This legislation will in effect register anyone, multiple times whether they earned that right or not. Since when is it permissable to let criminals and illegals dictate the law of our land?
Big names are backing this bill because they know the public is fed up with their shenanigans: Chuck Schumer, Barney Frank, Harry Reid; many who know their seats are in trouble.
Are we going to let this happen? No, we are not. Get ready for another campaign of letter writing, telephoning and faxing your displeasure to your representatives and senators. Of course, they probably won't listen as they didn't listen to our threats and pleas for the healthcare bill. Isn't it interesting that they have to resort to breaking the law to hold onto their seats by their fingernails?
The Congress needs to go, every one of them. All those who took their bribes from Obama to pass healthcare; all those who are trying their best to disarm the Constitution and destroy this country.
We don't have to worry about terrorists destroying America. Americans, powerful Americans, will do it themselves. They've already started. ~

The Question of Profiling
Christmas brought visions of sugar plums, Santa Claus, and another terrorist with which to contend. Such a surprise!
When will this administration stop its asinine treatment of those who hope to kill as many Americans as possible? They are not criminals, they are terrorists. Use the word and stop trying to avoid hurting their feelings. Let the military have them and serve justice. We are at war with these people as they perform their jihads against us. We don't need Obama apologizing for their mistreatment. Let the military do their job and get answers. Can you imagine Hitler being interrogated and the US worrying about hurting his feelings? Offering him a chance to "lawyer up?" If torturing works, get on with it. Did anyone think our boys weren't tortured by the Japanese or the Germans during World War II? It's one of the unpleasant facts of war. Nobody likes to remember those days when we had soldiers in prison camps, or the Jews were being annihilated just because they were Jews. It's an unpleasant memory and one no one likes to be reminded of. But war is war. And the enemy must be stopped no matter how unpleasant we have to be. Perhaps you've forgotten but war is hell. And we are at war.
Is anyone being blamed for not stopping this terrorist from boarding that plane when all the information was there? No, Mr apologetic Obama pretends to be angry and says that we must do something to stop the onslaught of terrorist attacks by putting more stringent practices in place. How about copying the practices of El Al, Israel's airlines? They have no problems with profiling everyone. And they have no incidents to report.
How about stopping anyone from Yemen from entering this country by refusing to grant visas to them? And yes, I am for profiling people of a certain background from entering this country. Anytime anyone wants to pay cash for a ticket or it's a one way fare, red flags should have immediately gone up. And if a nation doesn't want to go along with these practices, they should not be allowed to fly into this country.
But, no, Obama would never stand behind such guidelines because we might hurt the feelings of some of his Muslim friends.
Politically, one more attack on this country, and Obama is through. That's not just my consensus, but the opinion of political strategists throughout our country.
We need someone in office who is not afraid to do right for this country and so far, I'm not seeing that person in the Oval office. I felt a lot safer under the last administration than I do under the current one. Much of the programs that Bush put in place have been taken apart and dismantled by the new leader. And I feel a lot less safe than before. Economically, this country cannot survive another disaster at the hands of our enemies. We need Congress to forget about insurance problems and concentrate on keeping this nation and its inhabitants safe. ~One Voice

New Year's Resolutions
With January 1st, usually comes an influx of resolutions for the coming year. And just as quickly, they seem to fall by the side of the road soon forgotten.
Let's make it stick this year.
#1 Join the Tea Party Movement and throw out Congress next year.
#2 Find anyone to support to run against Obama in 2012.
#3 Listen to a conservative program and give them a chance.
#4 Lift your voices high in support of Profiling for the Airlines.
#5 Support the military in all endeavors against our enemies.
#6 Stand up for the Constitution. Don't let those in power destroy it.
#7 Voice your opinions in a public venue: radio, TV, Internet.
#8 Listen to at least one dissenting opinion and weigh it before decrying against it.
#9 Stop demeaning Sarah Palin and praising Michelle Obama.
#10 Make a doctor's appointment now because once Obamacare comes in, you won't have a doctor!
Those are just a few resolutions to consider keeping. Happy New Year one and all.
