The Big Speech at West Point

The White House finally gave its answer: The commander in chief is sending 30,000 troops to Afghanistan. The poor cadets at West Point were snoring their way through the big speech, a dull and flat emotionless talk. He seemed angry to have to even give the announcement. Not once does he mention an American victory. It's almost as if he would root for an American loss. With practically the same breath he announced the upcoming deployment, he stated that in 3 years he will start pulling back the troops. All the network commentators picked up on that one. It's like giving the enemy free reign to go on a long vacation and then come back into power.
Where is the forceful leadership this country deserves? We need a leader who can lead, not an apologist who sees this nation as wronging the Middle Eastern Muslim nations. They chose to attack us, Mr. President. We are trying to prevent more attacks at their hands in our nation. But what can you expect from a leader who cannot even call a terrorist a terrorist when he kills 13 people at Fort Hood and screams "Alla Akbar" while he's doing it.
Oh, we'd better apologize to the Muslims because they might get their feelings hurt if we call this Muslim extremist a terrorist.
We need the forcefulness of a Truman, a Reagan or an FDR cheering the troops on to victory not putting them to sleep with his lackluster apologetic speech. You can hear the disassociation in his voice. He could care less what the military does. He despises them.
Our friend, Chris Matthews, had the nerve to call West Point, "the enemy." Our military academy is the enemy? Another gaffe with no reprimand by the Obama owned media.
I don't know about you but I want my America back before he totally destroys it. ~ One Voice

Strongarming the Military

Apologies to the enlisted men and women who are standing tall in the fight for freedom across the world. Word has come that 3 of the Navy Seals who captured the latest detainee in Iraq, a man responsible for the Fallujah massacre, Muslim extremist Abed, have been charged because he accused them of giving him a fat lip.
These men and women who put their lives on the line for our country are being ridiculed by something the left calls "Political correctness." It has to stop.
Soon we will have no military left to fight as it is the aim of the current administration to rid this country of the military. It's obvious that Obama despises the Armed Forces. Just look how's he drug out the request for more troops to fight the war in Afghanistan. And now, this latest insult by the Commander in Chief and his staff.
Now we have to apologize to the Muslim extremists when we defend ourselves against their murderous intentions? The only thing that we need to apologize for is the inhumane treatment of the military by their own country's leaders.
Obama is an embarassment to this country and to those who deem it an honor to serve their country. In a war, you don't treat the enemy like a hero. If he resists being taken, you have to sometimes use force. Of course, Obama wouldn't know that, would he, since he's never served in the military.
How much more do we have to take as our soldiers are further ridiculed by their leaders? Every Republican in office and those trying to unseat the current Democratic leadership, needs to be out there in the Media fighting to correct the injustice that those Navy Seals are having to endure.
And Obama is supposed to be respected in the global community? The world is laughing at the weak Americans. Every day is a new disaster with this administration.
But perhaps that's his world plan. Perhaps the plan is to take down America from the inside by destroying our morale and taking away the power of the Armed Forces.
They're taking away our jobs, trying to control our healthcare and our freedom of choice. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he decided not to leave at the end of his term but to become the world's new dictator.
The Navy Seals involved are getting counsel to fight the charges. Our country is in a sad state of affairs. We cannot look to our leaders for support in this matter. We have to take up the fight ourselves. There is no place in this country for weak leaders who apologize for our behavior at every turn. We have to take back this country before it is too late. ~One Voice

Sarah Palin: Going Rogue

As Sarah Palin travels the country wide promoting her book, "Going Rogue," one thing is certain. She's a very popular woman. Crowds are following her like the Pied Piper as she draws thousands at each booksigning. Her book was a best seller long before its release yesterday. And her popularity continues to grow among the masses, with a 47% approval rating in a poll taken today.
Ms. Palin made a wise decision by taking on the smaller market cities and avoiding the big cities. Because in the heart of America, they care about her. I'm not saying she is presidential material, but middle America cares about Sarah Palin and is eager to hear what she has to say.
Of course, in the state run media, they have a slanted view. MSNBC correspondent, Chris Matthews, immediately pointed out that she appeals only to white people, another clearly racist remark from this journalist, who continues to make one gaffe after another. This is the same journalist who said "what's wrong with an army major calling Al Qaida?"
As Sarah Palin makes her rounds of interviews, she is proving that women should be taken seriously in the political arena. She stands up for John McCain and sets the record straight about the running of his campaign.
Again, the media is squaring off against her. Newsweek is trying to demean her by stealing a cover from Runner's World magazine. They placed it on this week's issue and showed her on the cover in running shorts. It is totally sexist and they get away with it. It's offensive not only to her, but to all women. But where are the women's groups outrage? It seems that if you're a conservative woman, they say nothing. But let something be said against a liberal woman, and they're all over the place. NOW should be ashamed of themselves for not standing up for all women, no matter what their political leanings.
Why all the negative attention for Ms. Palin? For some reason, the left leaning biased media is afraid of her because she has the heart of America backing her. Whether she runs for political office or not, no one should have to put up with the attacks she's had to deal with, especially the demeaning of her family.
Good luck to Sarah Palin, who might just surprise everyone and crash through that glass ceiling that has so far kept women from the top job in the country. ~One Voice

Mistrial of the Century

With the first light of morning came the announcement from Attorney General Eric Holder that the five masterminds of the 9/11 terrorist attack on New York City and the Pentagon in Washington would be tried in court in New York City. Shock and awe! But what is the real message here?
Is it a ploy by the Obama administration to take the focus off healthcare? Or is it an honest effort to put the evil Al Qaida operatives to death with no ulterior motives? Obama has made some mistakes but this one may be the biggest one yet.
Is this a trial for justice or merely a way to once again lay blame on the Bush administration for the greatest crisis to occur in our country ever? What will really be on trial here is the waterboarding and investigation techniques and communication between agencies, thereby laying a direct pipeline to the foreign enemy that will once again know our weak spots and declare war and Jihad on the U.S.
Does anyone think about the survivors of the greatest disaster to occur in America and what this trial will do to them as the story is once again played out for the world to see, for our enemies to find new ways to attack us?
And in the interest of serving justice, does anyone really believe that a jury can be seated in New York City where the wounds are still fresh even after eight years? What is Obama's plan? Does he want his fellow Muslims to be freed on a technicality?
We've now had 2 Jihad attacks from Muslim extremists on our country. Will this trial bring us more disaster at their hands? Yes, I'm asking a lot of questions because they need to be answered. Has anyone thought these things through before making their decision? You have to wonder at the sense this move makes. And why now, after eight years do we hold an open trial that will take years and costs millions of dollars to the taxpayers. It's just what this country needs to take the focus off healthcare and the job crisis. Isn't it?~One Voice

Obama's Hypocracy

Let me start off by thanking the veterans for their service on this Veteran's Day, 2009. The debt we owe them can never be repaid.
In the last couple of days, Barack Obama spoke at Fort Hood and at Arlington Cemetery to praise the military. Am I the only who who sees the hypocrisy in that?
Tender words of praise for our men and women in uniform, and yet, he cannot decide if and when to deploy more soldiers in the fight in Afghanistan. The remarks he made at Fort Hood were heartfelt but he has done everything he can to hide the truth: that it was an act of war by a fanatical Muslim extremist staging Jihad against Americans.
His efforts to try and mask the terror attack at Fort Hood as psychotic is wrong. You can't suffer from PTSD when you've never been deployed to a war. Obama can't admit to the truth that the federal agencies screwed up again. He's trying to save his administration because another attack on our soil will finish him. The people of this country are already jumping the Obama ship over the whole health care and economy debacles. Hearing him continually stand behind this Muslim killer is just plain wrong.
There is evidence that Hasan contacted Al Quaida. There are emails to the Imam from the Falls Church mosque who has fled to Yemen. He encouraged Hasan to pursue Jihad. Hasan paraded around in Muslim dress the morning of the attack. More and more proof is falling into place. There was no mental illness as Washington would have you believe. This is a premeditated attack by a Muslim extremist that is being covered up.
And yet Obama stands up there and says, "Don't jump to conclusions." Out of the other side of his mouth, he's praising those who were killed and yet, he won't condemn this Muslim murderer.
And he won't commit to calling up more troops where they're needed. And he can't seem to engineer a plan for Afghanistan. But he can place that wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown and smile and give a good speech. I have to wonder was he there because he wanted to be or because it's his Presidential duty? As for substance, there is little there. I despise hypocrisy. And that seems like all we're getting from Obama.
At least when George Bush was president, you could see his deep respect and love for the military. When he visited the hospitals, he went unannounced and without film crews. He deeply cared for for the military and it was evident. ~One Voice

Fort Hood Terrorist Attack

I've waited to write anything about the terrorist attack in Fort Hood, first because I wanted more facts, and second, because I was too angry. But the longer I waited, the angrier I got.
This is the second attack we've endured at the hands of Jihadists. What angers me more than anything is that, again, we had information, warning signs that should have raised huge red flags and the authorities just sat on their hands because they were afraid of offending someone. And as a result, 13 people died and 38 were wounded at Fort Hood.
The fundamentalists in Afghanistan must be laughing at the silly Americans and shouting "we've defeated them." Because of America's institutions, the FBI and CIA, who are still not talking to each other and sharing information, this terrorist (yes, I'm calling him a terrorist because he is one)succeeded in killing more Americans. No one paid any attention to the warning signs because they might offend the muslims in the Army. Has this country learned anything yet? Obviously not.
And Obama, a secret Muslim, is saying "Don't jump to conclusions."
This is a supremely sad day for America. I am very angry about this because this country let it happen. How many more thousands of Americans have to die because our leaders will not act on information for fear of hurting people's feelings?
I'm not saying I hate muslims. I'm talking about radical muslims, madmen who seek to destroy this country.
The time has come to drop the political correctness and work to keep this country safe. Where was Homeland Security? And why was this incident greeted with nothing more than silence? Where was the anger that this country exhibited after 9/11? Do we need to have thousands killed first before there is any kind of reaction?
We have leaders who stand up for the radicals who seek to kill us, who won't arm our military so that we can end the war once and for all, and who waited a week before he could go and visit the people at Fort Hood. This should tell you what you really need to know; that he will protect the enemy at all costs.
Last week, George Bush visited the troops at Fort Hood. He didn't have to. He's no longer commander in chief, but he cared. That's more than you can say for Obama and his minions who think that the war on terror doesn't exist. But guess what, Mr. President, this happened on your watch, not on George Bush's. So more than a week after the incident, Obama finally cleared some time to show up. And you can believe that he'll have the press there to record every moment.
In the meantime, the press will spin and turn this "poor muslim" into the victim. They are already doing so. Anger doesn't even begin to cover the emotions I'm feeling because of this incident. I hope this country wakes up before it's too late. But knowing our agencies, they probably won't check out any of the other muslims in the Army and in this country, because they wouldn't want to offend them. So look for more of these incidents. The jihadists will not stop.
I hope the Army handles the prosecuting of this man. Maybe then we will see justice and not have to endure an ACLU lawyer screaming about his rights. As far as I'm concerned he gave up any rights the minute he started shooting at American soldiers. He should be tried for treason and sent before a firing squad. Maybe the Army will get it right. No one else seems capable of doing so. ~

House Passes Obamacare

By hook or by crook, the bill passed the House of Representatives on a special weekend session late Saturday night. In a move to sway the pro-life supporters, they passed a special amendment that is supposed to eliminate federally funded abortions. But will it really?
John Boehner tried to elect a promise from Democrats that when the bill comes back that it will still contain this amendment and not be subjected to the "trickery" of eliminating this measure from the final bill. As predicted, this amendment will probably totally disappear. It was merely a means of getting votes and the second bill will have the abortion clauses added back in.
These people must think America is made up of stupid idiots who cannot read between the lines. For one thing, mandated insurance is against the Constitution and threatening people with mandatory jail time as well. Everyone who voted for the monstrosity should be impeached. Of course, you will have some representatives who will deny that they didn't vote, they only voted for the pro-life version, people like Steve Driehous, who is already politically in trouble with his constituents because he has repeatedly refused to act in the best interest of the people who sent him to Washington. He will be one of many who will be fired next year.
Of course, this bill still has to clear the Senate. The only reason Harry Reid is delaying the vote for a month or two, is to work the Senators and try to convince them to come around. I wonder how many back room deals will be cut to get votes.
There is still much work to be done to stop this bill from becoming law. Reform must be done correctly. Rushing through this legislation is just plain wrong. Time needs to be taken to cover all aspects and treat everyone fairly. Simply throwing more money at a problem never works.
More money added to the national debt is not the answer here, but Democrats only know how to spend, spend, spend while they move with lightning speed to bankrupt this country. They are digging a hole so deep generation after generation of our kids and grandkids will not be able to dig their way out.
Action is needed to stop this bill from becoming law. Call, write, email, whatever it takes to stop the bill's passage. Again, there's a lot of work that still needs to be done. Take a stand and fight back for your country before it's too late. One Voice

GOP Victories vs Democratic Spin

Governors in the states of Virginia and New Jersey, in a bold stroke for democracy, won their respective contests yesterday.
While the democratic spin doctors alibi that these "were merely local elections and had nothing to do with the current administration" according to Gibbs, the President's spokesman, either the democrats are too dense to realize the people are fed up with Obama's lack of leadership or just closing their eyes to the electional upheavel that is going to take place next year. Democrats can spin all they like, but the exit polls prove that Americans are dissatisfied with Obama and his policies. 85% of people polled after yesterdays vote stated as much.
The Tea Party movement is working. Tomorrow, Thursday, a contingent will be arriving in Washington to keep the pressure on Congress to vote a resounding "no" on the Obamacare bill. And another cross country bus tour is underway and voicing their displeasure at the way Congress is getting set to levy more taxes and the Obama administration is doing nothing to create more jobs. If anything, the administration is doing nothing on purpose because they want this country under their thumb. They want to control each and every one of us. And we're not going to put up with it.
The time has come for us to stand up and be counted in the fight to take our country back.
Yesterday, the GOP won two races originally expected to go to the Democrats. They're scared, folks. Now they're pushing the Healthcare vote back to maybe in January. They know as soon as they vote for that monstrosity of a bill, that they will be fired. Congress better prepare itself because Armegeddan is coming. One year to go! And in two years, Obama will be history. ~One Voice

New Healthcare Bill

Nancy Pelosi is all aglow. Her heathcare bill is finished and ready for a vote. The bill was handed out today, all 1990 pages of it. As a sea of Democrats distance their support from their party, and Republicans get ready to debate the plan, Harry Reid is insisting he has the votes to pass it. While others deny that this will happen.
The time to keep the pressure on our representatives is now. Once the vote happens, it's too late. As the propaganda machine builds its message on a recovering economy that is nothing but more lies fashioned by the current administration, the plan is to take the focus off of the bill that Obama and company are planning to push through. As more jobs are lost, it's hard to believe that propaganda.
Reid is certain he will get the measure passed, by hook or by crook, with a reconciliation attempt that will allow Congress to pass or vote no on the first go round and then return to pass the bill later. More underhanded tactics by Congress to allow government interference into our lives.
All the current plan will do is cause private insurance to escalate through the roof and force the people to go on the government plan thereby sending private insurance companies rates through the roof. As the people forego the private options and choose the cheaper government plan, they will force private insurance companies into bankruptcy.
According to minority leader John Boehner, the bill is "1990 pages of pure burearocracy."
It's interesting, isn't it, that the bill will not come to the floor until after the Tuesday, Nov. 3rd elections. If everything was on the up and up, would that be necessary? Congress is running scared and I'm not just talking about the Democrats. Both parties are quaking in their boots these days because they know full well that the American people are fed up with their underhanded shenanigans.
If you haven't done so, write, fax, email or snail mail your leaders on the hill and tell them to vote no, no, no!
Why should senior citizens be penalized with having their medicare benefits cut to pieces and be limited in their healthcare coverage? There may not be so called "death panels" to face, but when you can't afford the care, you are condemned to an early end when you have to choose between food or medicine. This is wrong, America, so very wrong. Stand up and do the right thing while there is still time.~ One Voice

Freedom Fighters

Who are the freedom fighters you may ask? They are the simple folks, the ones who get up every morning and go to work; the ones who get up and go to church on Sunday or syangogue on Saturdays; they are the members of the Tea parties that show up in droves to cheer for a free America; they are you and me and all of the Americans who love their freedom. They respect and honor the flag and don't see it as a "religious symbol" but rather the symbol of victory of a hard fought win: the battle for our independence.
In the beginning, when our country was born, great men sat in power and fashioned this country into a free and independent nation. They were smarter and wiser men than rule over us today. They made provisions that protected us from madmen seeking power; from the corrupt and evil men who would seek to dominate and oppress nations with fear and eventually destroy all that they possessed.
Brave men always rise up and fight to save our country when danger threatens our freedom; the Greatest Generation fought down the madness of dictators and tyranny. They, too, were freedom fighters. Our military has been around for more than a couple hundred years, defending the oppressed and protecting our freedom. Thank God for them and for a free America.
Once again, those freedoms are under attack. But this time, our enemies are from within this country. Corrupt leaders who insult women; who sponsor legislation to murder babies and withhold treatment for the elderly by cutting off their medical benefits. By withholding support for our military they are causing more deaths than are necessary because they won't fund military provisions; won't allow these brave men to fight their wars and end them; instead they play political games with men and women's lives. When the casualty figures go up, how many shed a tear and take responsibility for those losses? Because they are directly responsible.
But our military aren't the only ones who need to fight for our country.
It is up to us to act as freedom fighters and fight for the rights we hold dear. We cannot let the corrupt politicians remain in office to slowly strike down the Constitution and Bill of Rights put in place by our founding fathers.
Become a freedom fighter and join a Tea party. Voice your opinions to your Congress and let them know we're not taking the graft and corruption any longer. We're not going to accept healthcare reform that is merely another way to tax the people and eliminate the elderly who are ill and according to the lawmakers, "no longer useful." Are we going to let these evil people play God?
We condemn other countries for practicing genocide but are we any different?
Wake up, America! Fight for your country's survival. Become a freedom fighter today! ~One Voice

Jessica's Law

We hear more and more statistics every day. Little girls and little boys being molested and raped and worse: murdered by sexual deviants. When will it stop?
The push continues for each state to institute Jessica's law and protect the innocent from predators in their states. But in the meantime, the desecration of the innocents continues.
Jessica's Law was passed in the state of Florida and named for one of the young victims. But not all states have this law on their books. Between lax regulations and corrupt judges who merely slap the molesters on the wrist with light sentences. where is the justice? One rape conviction resulted in a mere 18 months incarceration. Any judge who lets a rapist or pedophile off with a sentence like that should be impeached and banned from practicing law ever again.
The saddest testimony is the parent who is also a molester or rapist. Lifetime in prison is too good for them.
National legislation should be passed to protect our children and enforced at the state level with a minimum term of imprisonment of 50 years for child molestation and a life sentence for child rape. Any Congressman or woman who wouldn't stand up for this legislation should be thrown out or impeached.
Get behind Jessica's law. Does your state have it? Instruct your children in safe practices when arranging for pick up at schools or walking home. And talk to them; warn them about the predators that will hurt them. Teach them to trust no one, not even family members. Many molestations happen right within the family circle with one parent being oblivious to what is going on in their house.
Be aware! And be smart. If you suspect anything strange going on, report it immediately to the authorities and safeguard America's children.~One Voice

The Bitter Pill of Afghanistan

It's been weeks now since General McChristy presented the president with his recommendation for more troops in Aghanistan, and still the president is mum. What an act of disrespect for the men and women fighting to keep Al Qaida and The Taliban at bay. The latest excuse is a lame one. Because of the corrupt elections there must be a run off to determine who will be the leader of this god forsaken country. We must wait until November 7th to find out who the leader will be, according to Raum Emanuel. What kind of logic is this? I'm beginning to believe that this whole administration is idiotic.
As more Americans are killed every day, Obama attends fundraisers in New York for the Democratic Party at $15,000 a head. He's sure worried about our brave fighting men and women, isn't he?
I've never been so ashamed of a leader in my life. I've had disagreements before with various presidents over the years, but to blatantly ignore the needs of our soldiers is a slap in the face of freedom.
I heard this morning that Obama is going to honor a group of Vietnam veterans for their efforts in that war. Is it an honest effort or merely a publicity ploy to take the heat off because of his attitude toward the Afghanistan situation?
Another rumored excuse is that he wanted his healthcare passed before he took on the war. What a sad commentary to our military's importance to this country. No wonder their morale is at an all time low. This is an embarrassment beyond measure. We must look ludicrous to our enemies.
I realize that this is a bitter pill for this adminstration to swallow. The left wing advocates want us out of there, and so do most Americans, but we're there fighting to keep terrorism at bay. But it's become a political war. If the generals would just let the men and women fight and quit pulling them back, maybe we could avoid all the comparisions to Viet Nam. Let them fight this war and end it, with victory. ~ One Voice

Rush Limbaugh vs. NFL

Whether or not you agree with Rush Limbaugh's conservative philosophy, you have to wonder what has happened to America that it prohibits someone from making an investment in America. If his income came from a quesitonable source, maybe they'd have reason, but because he criticizes the President? Come on!
The NFL is so anxious to keep a conservative out of their "esteemed" organization that they have to fabricate and manipulate sound bites to make it sound like Limbaugh is a racist. The media is reporting lies, but what else is new?
When groups of African American football players come to Limbaugh's defense, you have to wonder who's behind this controversy. Once this scam became public, the group who was going to purchase the St. Louis Rams, dumped Limbaugh in the middle of all this mess. But I suppose it makes sense when one of those investors is rumored to be George Soros, a man who almost single-handedly bought the White House for Obama with the help of Acorn. I guess if you don't like Obama's policies, and you're vocal about it, you're punished.
I am so sick and tired of hearing racist when you don't agree with the President's policies. What's next, auditing by the IRS of everyone who is brave enough to voice their opinion against Obama's policies?
Rush Limbaugh is taking all this with a grain of salt, but it infuriates me that we have such polarized organizations in a position of power in this country. Suppose we all start boycotting NFL games and refuse to buy products advertised on their games?
Maybe Rush should take his money and take it to Grand Cayman and bypass the great American corrupt investment groups. Who could blame him if he did? ~One Voice

Health Care Reform or Retaxing

The Healthcare Reform has made it through the financial committee. Now Congress will huddle "behind closed doors" to write the bill they hope to send to the floor. According to Senator Mitch McConnell (R, Ky), "this will result in another half trillion dollar hit for seniors on Medicare and higher taxes, along with higher insurance premiums." He predicts that this bill will never reach the Senate floor. Let's hope he is right.
Obama is out there praising the lone Republican, Olympia Snow, for voting for it. However, she has already stated that she will not vote for a public option, which is what Pelosi and company want.
There is still time to write your Congressmen and women and let them know your displeasure about this program. Remember, for those of you who have heathcare, you will be paying more. This is no reform! 87% of the cost of this plan will be shouldered by the middle class. There will be a cost of around $4,000 per household per year to pay for it. This plan has a clause that states insurance coverage charges will be based on age. The older you are the more costly the insurance. If the new bill goes through, with the public option, yes, the uninsured will get coverage and we will be paying for it. And those young people who have no insurance, will be forced to get it or pay a hefty $2,000 fine per year.
The ridiculous thing is, those who go to the hospital now and have no coverage, cannot be turned away. They are getting healthcare. So what's the difference? Hidden beneath all this talk about healthcare coverage is the real plan: to institute the socialistic principles of this administration and "spread the wealth." Once the government takes over the management of healthcare in this country, private insurance will be a thing of the past. And the economy will take an even bigger hit as the jobless rate climbs yet again. This is the scenario the government wants: the people at the mercy of the government. And there will be no more choice. The goverment will own its citizens lock,stock, and barrel.
They will tell us what we can eat, what we can earn, and they will start to dismantle our Constitution. Plans are already afoot to do just that.
So fight back while you still can. Hold on tightly to your rights with both fists and don't let go. We're about to be in the fight of our lives to retain the freedom that we hold dear. ~ One Voice

Nobel Peace Prize Absurdity

Now we've heard it all! Obama wins the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009!
There have been some crazy things happening in this country of late, but perhaps this bit of news is the strangest. The nomination of President Obama for this once prestigious award is nothing short of a joke. Nominated a mere 11 days after he took possession of the Presidency, it is merely a political ploy by those abroad who wish to stick it to former President George W. Bush one more time.
The committee, to paraphrase, gives him the award based on his "potential." Potential to lead? I've yet to see any leadership qualities demonstrated. He was elected because he can give a good speech, reading from a teleprompter. He is weak, folks, so weak he's left a request open from General McChrystal for more troops for 40 days now. This "man of peace" is a wartime president who won't listen to his generals. And he has only spoken to McChrystal once in the last 70 days. What kind of leadership is that? What kind of message does this send to our troops? It's obvious that while our military is suffering losses, it doesn't matter to the President or he would have acted swiftly and surely by placing faith in the judgment of his military leaders and answered that request in a timely manner.
What kind of leader ignores the people who elected him when they say they don't want the healthcare bill passed? When they say they're happy with the current plans they already have?
It's believed by some that this award gives a boost to the image of America overseas. The only thing this award is doing is making America a laughing stock abroad. And, in the end, it will do more harm than good.
The people of America don't care about the Nobel Prize. What they care about is the welfare of this country; the economy and the lack of jobs that continue to grow everyday despite his claims that we are "coming out" of the recession.
Tell that to the people of Ohio who see those unemployment totals continue to climb.
Tell that to the people who have relocated 3 and 4 times to find work and within the same year, are losing those jobs because of the economy and more downsizing. Tell that to the people who don't know how they're going to put food on the table for their families.
Congratulations to the President for his award and his million dollars. Maybe he'll use that money to help pay down the debt he has raised to a trillion plus dollars.

Devaluing the Dollar

Gold continues to rise and the value of the dollar contines to plummet. Whose fault is this?
Obama's great plans for the stimulus to improve the dollar and boost the economy have gone up in smoke. The Great Stimulus was supposed to create all these new jobs that would cause the dollar to rise in value. Where are those jobs?
There have been no great increase in jobs in this country. The job market is getting smaller, more layoffs last month than we've seen in many years. As the job market continues to shrink, our financial worries continue to compound.
Rumors fueled by the shrinking dollar value are flooding the airwaves. The Arabs, the oil countries, and China are already talking about dropping the dollar. If that happens, we are in even deeper trouble than ever before.
Obama is thinking of changing our currency from the dollar to something else. This upsets me and I'm not alone here. Everything about our country is changing from bad to worse. Those in power in the Congress can't wait to get their hands on the Constitution and dismantle it. They want to change our country into a government run state where they will make all our decisions for us and take away our freedoms one by one.
The dollar is the first step in this plan. Obama's answer is to print more money, instead of attacking the real problem: putting the people back to work. More jobs create a strong economy. In Obama's campaign, we were promised jobs to solve our economic woes. Where are they?
If the country goes back to work we will heal a number of ills including social security money shortages, healthcare reform money, Medicare and yes, even the war department budget.
We need to hold onto what we have and not try to destroy everything our forefathers fought to build in this nation, including the treasury system. Smarter men than we have today set up the system and it has worked for well over 200 years. We don't need to have those values challenged by men and women of a lesser stature.
Protect our country and our values. Return us to being the greatest nation in the world.
Man up, Mr. President, stop apologizing for this country. We have done nothing wrong. The value system of this country has sustained us and will continue to do so if ignorant men and women will stop interfering with a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. The dollar will come back as soon as the jobs resurface. If you want to do anything, Mr. President, keep your campaign promises and put this country back to work and get them off welfare. ~One Voice

The Chicago Machine At Work

Mayor Richard Daley's powerful political machine knows no bounds. He wanted the Olympics of 2016 in the Windy City so he used his "leverage" to get Obama's help in achieving his goal.
Payback time for the Obama administration. Dailey got him elected and it was time to pay back so there was never a "no" in this equation.
Squandering more taxpayer's money? Doesn't matter. Chicago calls, you have to answer. Roll out the jets, send Michelle and Valerie Jarrett over first. Follow her over the next day with 2 more jets plus Air Force One.
Plead your case. Send Michelle in first. Get her emotional by talking about her father's case of Multiple Sclerosis. What does that have to do with bringing the Olympics to Chicago? Follow Michelle's speech with a plea for the United States. Sell them on the idea by showing how important you are and how it's all about you. Don't mention the importance of the people who sponsor the Olympics, the athletes and how important it would be and how honored the city would be to have them and watch them participate. Just talk about yourself.
The result of all this pleading and cajoling at the feet of the Olympic Selection Committee? Dead last! That's right folks, all that wasted money and effort netted the President another stunning loss. He just can't do anything right. First healthcare and now this.
Perhaps that's the payback he deserves for putting the country's problems on the back burner. After all, what's more important? Stumping for the Olympics to be held in Chicago or facing the economic problems, the increased job losses, the healthcare debaucle, oh and yes, the issue of Iran and North Korea and their nukes. Let's just put that on hold for a day while we jet over to Denmark and plead our case.
While I never cared for Jimmy Carter's version of politics, I will give him his due. When the hostages were being held in Iran, he opted to forego his re-election campaign because he wouldn't leave Washington while the hostages were in captivity. He probably wouldn't have won anyway with the inflation and loan rates up to 23%, but at least he made a huge sacrifice. Would Obama do the same?
He must have been furious today. How dare anyone say no to him? But he put on the good face for the news conference. Poor Obama! He just can't win and 3 years from now, he won't win re-election either. That brings a huge smile to my face. ~ One Voice

Sneaky Underhanded Congress

The Congress is up to more devious tricks to get their way. There will be 2 Senate bills pushed through and attached to the house bill so that Congress can force the healthcare bill, single payer system, and public option upon the people. I assume they think we are too stupid to figure this out.
And the bills won't take effect until 2013. Obama's re-election will be in 2012 and he is afraid of the landslide vote against him. Regardless, if these bills pass, and it seems likely they will try to pull off this sham, there will be ramifications the like that the Democrats have never seen.
Millions of Americans are going to rise up and take back this country and vote out the rhinos in both halls of Congress. They are afraid, folks, they are afraid of being sent home. Harry Reid is about to follow in the footsteps of Tom Daschle. It's time to send his other Democrat brothers and sisters home as well.
Conservatives need to unite and throw out the Democrats while they still can. Because Obama is lining up 63 liberal judges who will forever change the face of America by striking down the Constitution. Our bill of Rights is hanging by a thread and we have to take action if we are to save the country as we know it. Our freedom is at stake.
What can we do? Tea parties and town hall meetings are a good start, but we have to keep the momentum flowing and back all the strong efforts of the good people of this country who are not afraid to speak out by striking back in the voting booth.
The America we know is in serious jeopardy. Not only do we have enemies from the outside who want to see this country destroyed, we also have the very Congress who has decided that the American people are enemy #1. Not only do we have to worry about Iran, and Afghanistan and the terrorists, we have to worry about the elected officials we hired to work for us.
The time has come to take a stand and rid this country of the vermin who would see it and the laws we hold dear destroyed. Our mantra should be "Take Back America." ~ One Voice

The Rape of America

Yes, America is the victim and the rapist is the Congress. You heard or rather, read me right. America is in a bad way. The economy has tanked (and no matter what you hear on the National Obama Broadcasting Network it is still in the tank), more people are out of work than are being counted, and we are being sold down the river by the very men and women we've sent to Congress to work for us.
The rape of America by men like Bernie Madoff caused our economy to tank. The mismanagement of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac by Congressmen like Chris Dodd and Barney Frank who told us everything was fine has a great deal to do with it. Unfortunately, they have been given a pass when they should both be in jail. I understand the desire to put people in homes, after all, it's the American Dream to own your own home. But to put them in homes and loan them money they know they can't begin to make payments on, is criminal. They knew this system had to fail and yet, they encouraged banks to keep loaning money to people of quesitonable financial support.
Wall Street has been able to profit from bad investments without any kind of checks and balances system in place to protect the small investor. If you have a crew of expensive lawyers on retainer and a few million behind your name, you can sue and get compensation for mismanaged investments. Ron Perlman did it and won. But the average citizen has no such support system and so he's just out the money they lost. As people's life savings swirled down the sewer, they were told, "Too bad, it didn't work out." What kind of answer is that? When you can't pay your mortgage and bills and you are left with filing backruptcy as your only option, why do they not have to answer for anything? What happens when you become senior citizens and are too old to find a job? By this time, investment companies have moved on to a new target and you are left to get by as best you can.
When Congressional representatives and senators go to Washington, the first thing they do is give themselves a raise in pay each January on their return from Christmas break. And they meet with lobbyists who promise them all the perks they could possibly want as long as they remember them and pass laws in their favor. When will this vicious cycle be stopped?
The people send respresentatives and senators to Washington to work for them and instead of remembering that, they forget all about the constituents they represent. They begin tacking on pork barrel spending programs onto bills on the floor and hope the "old folks" back home won't notice.
But we are noticing. We're noticing when the minority leader in the house, John Boehner and the Senator from Georgia, Mr. Chambliss, play golf on PAC money. When Congress takes European vacations with their friends and families and when Nancy Pelosi, and Barbara Boxer fly their husbands back and forth across the country in a private jet that our tax dollars are paying for. And for the kickbacks that Mrs. Boxer's husband is getting when she makes sure his company is awarded government contracts. When does all this graft stop? When do the people wise up and break down this political machine?
And jobs? They're cooking the books to make it look like not as many people are losing their jobs each month. Of course there aren't as many when you don't count those who worked part time jobs and cannot collect benefits when they lose their jobs. Or when they haven't worked long enough to file for benefits. Or those who get disgusted by the huge paperwork backlogs and just give up. Where are those statistics?
The time has come to start riding herd on Congress and end all the wasteful spending. One way is to establish term limits. No more lifetime jobs. We don't have that luxury. Why should they?
They refuse to do the people's business effectively. When you don't do a good job, you lose your job and so should they.
Congress doesn't even read the bills they're voting on. What kind of sense does this make? If the Tea parties have done one thing, it's to make the people aware of this one fact. We're finding out the extent of how much money is wasted with asinine studies that amount to raping and pillaging the country. They want us to pay more taxes so they can continue their abusive lifestyle. Are we going to let them get away with it? They need to be held accountable to us and if they refuse, as some town meetings proved, they need to go. Never forget the power of the vote! ~ One Voice

Corruption in the United Nations

This week once again we've had a look at the United Nations and those nations that are represented therein. The emphasis on this august body calls to mind the corruption that lives within this organization. Many would agree the UN has outlived its usefulness. The fraudulence residing in this body goes deeper than the last scandal of Oil For Food in which Saddam Hussein, the French ministers and many others including Koko Annon, the son of Kofi Annon, manufactured a scheme that netted all involved millions of dollars.
The Human Rights division of the United Nations that picks and chooses its battles and sends UN forces around the world, allowing them to rape and pillage at will, is a disgrace. When Saddam Hussein was murdering Kurds, the UN stepped in and issued sanctions. When the Chinese were murdering their own, they refused to act. When Boutros Boutros-Ghali, former Secretary General of the UN in 1994, sold weapons to the Hutus in Rwanda to be used against the Tutsis and made millions as genocide was committed in this tortured nation, they again refused to act. When the United States tried to get help for these countries, they were quickly shut down. And yet the US is the main sponsor for the United Nations, spending 384 million annually to keep it going.
It's a society of corruption with world representation thriving right here on our shores. It needs to go.
It's time we developed a new organization, a World Trade Organization made up of democracies and run by an independent representative, one who has nothing at stake and can proceed over this body without the pressures of corrupt nations breathing down his neck.
It's time to rid ourselves of the men who run an organization that professes to help the world and only helps themselves with scams to line their pockets at the expense of poor people everywhere.~ One Voice

Obama Cutting Border Patrols

Obama is reducing the border patrols on the US-Mexican border. As more and more terrorists find a base in this country, the President is paving the way and making their entry easier. Just whose side is he on?
In New York, he kissed up to the President of Iran, Dictators Chavez of Venezuela and Khaddafi of Libya. He has to "think" about giving the go ahead for more troops in Afghanistan. Maybe he has stars in his eyes and is wondering how to turn the Presidency into a life long job like the others have done.
Be afraid, Americans, be very afraid. We have a leader playing right into the hands of our enemies. As we sit upon a boiling pot of animosity around the world, while Israel threatens to attack Iran and Iran threatens to wipe out Israel and Afghanistan and Pakistan are breeding terrorists by the thousands, and North Korea is as volatile as ever, can the end of the world as we know it be very far away?
I can't decide if he's a misguided man who means well or if he simply wants to destroy America. And we thought the Cold War was something to worry about! When Reagan said to Gorbachev, "Tear down these walls!", we thought our worries were over.
Instead of finding a world at peace we're finding more and more evil. We're hearing terrorists, even the home bred variety, trying to take down their own. In North Carolina, the FBI found a band of terrorists who were planning to blow up the Marine base at Quantico. There was the cell out of a mosque in Brooklyn and it's been reported that there may still be several more at large.
And right in the heart of it all is Obama who thinks it's imperative that we have even less protection along our borders. He seems bent on letting the terrorists run amok with no thought for the safety of the people of this country.
What's his real story? Why does he not release his birth certificate? Is he really the Messiah or the anti-Christ?
If we can't trust our leaders to protect us, who can we trust? Will America be destroyed from within? Or are we going to stand up and take our country back? ~

Afghanistan: Stay or Go

Russia couldn't win there. Americans are having trouble, too. The news out of Afghanistan is gruesome at best. Do we walk away or hunker down and blast it off the map?
Americans are a kind lot for the most part. The thought of innocent women and children being killed takes the second option off the table.
But how else do we dismantle the Taliban and al Qaeda without total destruction? How else do we get rid of Bin Laden, the true face of evil?
We're caught between a rock and a hard place, aren't we? No one can forget 9/11, the Cole disaster or the embassy bombings without remembering it was Bin Laden who engineered this destruction. But how far can we go to get him? How many soldiers have to die for this cause?
The numbers from Afghanistan, while no where near the ones from Iraq, are continuing to mount. Can we win this one?
Without the help of Pakistan, it is nearly impossible to imagine, given the conditions facing our brave men and women. We heard that money supplies were being cut off and yet, the enemy still finds ways to infiltrate our country and to fund the war in Afghanistan. They are still finding capital to train terrorists and send them around the world to wreak havoc and still keep the fight going in their own despotic country. Some say it's drug money funding their operation. Whatever is keeping them going, we need to stop it.
There is only one answer to this dilemma. Either launch a full scale attack or get the hell out of there. I realize if we walk away we're giving the enemy full reign to launch even more attacks against America and those nations who support us. Eventually, Bin Laden will die. Life expectancy is only 45 over there and he's already reached beyond that age. I'm not one to walk away from a fight but without assistance from other nations, we have to go it alone. More troops are needed and these appropriations come from the Congress. How these men and women can deny the needs of the military and not feel any responsiblity for the deaths that occur because of their actions, is reprehensible.
Whatever our leaders decide to do, we have to support the efforts of our military. And if they come home without victory, we still have to be proud of them and treat them as heroes.
Condoleesa Rice has said that if we bring our troops home, the terrorists are certain to attack us on our own soil. I think that is true. So where do we go from here?
I realize that Iraq was an unpopular war, but that is in the past and cannot be changed. As that effort scales down and we move forward, how do we handle al Qaeda and the insufferable Taliban who want to kill all Americans? ~ One Voice

Reverse Racism

We have Jimmy Carter calling the country racists because they disagree with Obama's policies. Carter, who has the nerve to even open his mouth when he practically bankrupted this country when he had his turn in the White House and drove interest rates up to 22%. He nearly single-handedly killed the real estate business.
Bill Cosby has now popped up to offer his opinion, siding with Carter, that the country is against Obama because of racism.
I'm getting pretty tired of the misguided politics of racism. What we have is reverse racism. It's all right for black men to call each other the N word. It's all right for a bunch of black kids to beat up a white kid on a school bus. But if it were reversed, lawyers would be filing suits left and right and the capital R word would be echoed in black letters a foot high across the TV screens. It's all right for a black man to run for President and try to change all that is wrong with the country. I don't have a problem with that. But when he backs organizations that are corrupt and pays them money to run his election and we find out they cheated and registered over 400,000 people who were illegal reigstrants, I draw the line. If I don't agree with his policies when he tries to take away our rights and abolish our Constitution, yeah, I'm going to say so. But that doesn't mean I'm a racist.
As a white person or a black person, I'm entitled to my opinion and the constitution gives me the right to voice that opinion. The constitution allows the right of assembly, the right to bear arms, and the right to freedom of speech. Not just me, but all Americans, black, white or purple.
It's like calling wolf all the time and then one day, you cry wolf and no one pays attention. That's what's happening here. In cases when racism really does rear its ugly head, no one will listen because everytime anyone disagrees with a black person, they're labeled racists.
I am not a racist, I have never been a racist and if one more person tells me I am because I disagree with Obama's policies, I am going to scream. And perhaps get a lawyer and sue for reverse discrimination.
That's what's going on here, folks. We are being discriminated against because we don't agree with the President. And Nancy Pelosi can cry all she wants, but she wasn't worried about violent behavior when Cindy Sheehan camped out in Crawford, Texas and protested loudly against President Bush. She wasn't worried about anyone getting violent then, was she?
Where were the bleeding heart liberals when they tried to keep Roland Burris out of office because they wanted someone else appointed to Obama's seat? Were they racists because they were discriminating against a black man?
Or does that term only apply to white Americans? ~ One Voice

From Little Acorns Grow Mighty Controversies

We've suspicioned that Acorn was corrupt for quite a while. And it turns out that our suspicions were correct.
Two young journalists took cameras in hand and walked into that Baltimore Acorn office like soldiers marching into battle. Not sure if they could pull it off but brave enough to try, they fought for truth and justice and struck a blow for America.
Americans are fed up with the corruption of Washington politics and this organization is full of corrupt people. I don't need to retell this story. It's been all over the news again and again. The workers who told them how to break the law and evade taxes and hide underage protitutes from the government have been fired.
Lawyers for the organization were quick to yell "foul," but have since dropped their threats of a lawsuit. And the White House has distanced itself from this group.
This situation was not just the city of Baltimore. Other centers were filmed in Brooklyn, Los Angeles and the same results were recorded. Even the Governator of California has called for an investigation into this organization.
Acorn was the group who got Obama elected by soliciting and registering voters of questionable origins and it has been suggested that more than 400,000 votes were obtained illegally. But all of this was hushed up by those in the know.
Did you recall that Obama was the Acorn lawyer?
This is not to say that all workers are corrupt. There have been some good things the agency has done like find housing for poor people. But corruption has overshadowed the good, leaving only memories of the bad in its wake.
The political machines need to be dismantled. No better place to start than with this one. ~One Voice

The Challege Of Our Freedoms

I received a disturbing video today. The 2 hour movie emphasized the aims of Obama and his people to totally disrupt this nation by taking away our freedoms. The first to be challenged will be our Freedom of Speech. The House is going to resurrect the Fairness Doctrine which limits our freedom of speech. Obama is trying to silence those who don't agree with his plans and his principles. More than once he has mentioned FOX news. It will probably be the first target and then Rush Limbaugh. All the other media outlets appear to be state run now with the news filtered through the President or his people. For instance, this past weekend the huge march on Washington attended by tens of thousands of people got no mention on NBC. ABC and local channels here gave it a brief mention and then passed on like it had little or no importance. Imagine if anyone had done that to the Million Man March. This video also hints that Obama will be taking away our right to express our opinions on the Internet. (I knew these czars were being put in place for a reason.) This is censorship, folks. Not to mention an invasion of privacy and taking away rights our forefathers fought for and with which they gifted us.
They are trying to silence us, folks.
The next freedom will be the right to bear arms. Get ready NRA! They're coming for the guns. This video related that Eric Holder will be able to bann any guns he wants to. So much for the second amendment in our Bill of Rights.
Supposedly Obama has no real power; he is a puppet put in place by the real power wielders: the bankers of the world. According to the movie, there was a secret meeting with Obama and Hillary Clinton during the final days before the election in "a secret location" with these same high level bankers. They are supposed to drive the gas prices up to $150 a barrel, and have him pass a tax hidden in the "Green" programs that will put taxes on everything from energy purchases, plastics, food, medicines, pet expenses. You name it, he'll tax it. There will also be limitations on medical expenses for anyone 62 or over.
But the scariest thing in this whole propaganda tape is that he's in the process of building interrment camps all across the country to hold people who dare to try and fight him. There is supposed to be a clause in some agreement he signed that refers to him as a "dictator." He's also said to be initiating a mandatory service requirement for young people between ages 18-25 in which they will be brainwashed into submitting to his will.
Now, I'm not one to panic at some of these internet news stories making the rounds, but it makes you stop and wonder. Could we about to be heading for our own holocaust? This program also showed all the campaign promises that were made and quickly forgotten. Not by his choice, supposedly, but because he is under the thumb of the big bankers. They want him to open a world bank and drop the dollar as the bargaining currency around the world.
Even if you don't believe what this guy has on tape, it's frightening to think this could happen to us. That suddenly we'll be the Communist nation in captivity to our own dictator.
God, help me to wake up from this horrible nightmare! ~

Celebrating 9/11

Can eight years already have passed since this horrific event occurred? And, yet, in some ways, like the Kennedy assassination, everyone remembers where they were and what they were doing when we were so viciously attacked.
I remember I had been retired for a little over a year and was watching Good Morning America when word came that a plane had crashed into one of the towers at the World Trade Center. At first it was thought to be a small plane and as they were showing the tower smouldering and smoking, a second jetliner crashed into the second tower. And then we knew! This was no accident. We were under attack.
It was a sad, sad day for all of America.
The one bright spot that occurred in the aftermath of that dark day was the way America bonded together. Democrats, Republicans, or independents, it didn't matter what you were. You only wanted what was good for the country and for those that this terrible tragedy left behind to somehow cope with this horrific loss.
Ever year on the anniversary of this day, I take pause and re-evaluate the events of that day. And I pray for the victims and their famiilies. The day should be remembered before we go on with our lives. And yet, I can't believe that after all these years and talks of rebuilding and making a memorial on the site, that eight years later there is still a hole in the ground. The Empire State Building was built in 400 days. And yet, with all our modern technology, we can't seem to get this building erected.
Today's anniversary has a change tied to it. The president has decreed this a National Service Day. I resent that he chose this day to commend people who donate their time to serve. Not that I begrudge them their day, but just not this day. For those who perished in the dust and debris of the downed towers, I feel like this day should be theirs alone.

Obamacare One More Time

The speech we were all waiting for has come and gone. A lot of rhetoric and little substance echoed through the Great Hall last night as the President laid out his healthcare plan once again. His speech was short on details and long on anger and bitterness. After all, how dare anyone question his decrees?
Another exercise in futility for Obama. His followers came away from worshipping at the sacred statue of Obama to spout the wonder and wisdom of their leader. Others with wiser minds can see right through his lies. One attendee even called him a liar out loud. While not the proper time or place for this judgment, at least he was honest about what he was hearing.
H.R. 3200, passed by the House in July, contains privileges for the illegal aliens in this country, though Obama denies this fact. Because House Republicans offered an amendment to remove them from this bill and their attempt was rejected. So, folks, they're still in there even though Obama lied and said otherwise.
He tried to smooth over any rough spots and use his ability to orate like a professional - it's what he does best- but many are not buying what he is selling. Obviously he didn't hit the mark with this speech because he had to go out again today and talk about the healthcare issue yet again.
The real truth is he can't possibly deliver this healthcare without increasing the debt. He's talking about using the money to pay for this plan from the misspending of Medicare and the other insurance mismanagement. You remember this Medicare/Medicaid money that they've been looking for for over forty years and still haven't found. The one thing he didn't mention is raising our taxes and you can bet he will.
The saddest part is this bill will probably pass because the Democrats will jam it through in Ted Kennedy's name. And healthcare in this country will equal the dismal failure of England and Canada. Long lines, shortage of doctors and even longer delays for surgeries and hospital care is what we have to look forward to in this country. We can only hope the next administration will repeal what damage this man is about to do to this country.
We are just beginning to see the Obama plan, more government control in our lives. Change is here, folks. And it's not the kind of change we need. ~One Voice

American Czars

Obama is surrounding himself with malcontents and calling them Czars. Webster defines a czar as "an emperor of Russia (1), or any person in a position of power, as a high public official.(2)" This was a term fashioned on royal leaders who were often considered tyranical or dictatorial. And Obama has a whole plethora of them all positioned around him. What is he up to? He says they are advisors. But are they really part of his "Chicago Mafia?" Hitler had his inner circle, too, that obeyed his demands and carried out his misguided orders.
There are many who are starting to question Obama's likeness to a dictator. He is determined to enforce his kind of law-his version of healthcare as a state run program; his version of more government and less freedom. His supporters are slowly trying to work their way around to infringing on our personal freedoms. The Fairness Doctrine is said to be the next big attack against our Constitution. I even heard one commentator on a news program insist that the "Constitution was written by rich old white men and it was time to change it." That is sacrilege!
What has happened to this country? Be afraid, people, be very afraid. Once they take the Constitution down, the very cornerstone of this nation, what is next? Is nothing sacred to these left wing zealots?
Will those people who disagree with their "master plan" be eliminated? Will they be interred in prison camps? Sounds extreme, doesn't it? But did you know that the conservative African Americans have been silenced with death threats? The left has the power and they plan to keep it no matter what the cost.
Is revolution coming? Do we have to fight for our freedom all over again? I know I sound like a Glenn Beck alarmist, but the more I see and hear, the more I fear this administration. How long before they take our TV's and radios and give us state run programming? And most of the Americans haven't got a clue. They ride along fat, dumb, and happy and are ready to sing "Kum Bayah."
I feel like I don't know these Americans who can't see or hear the real message being spoken. I can recall someone saying that Communism would come into this country without a shot being fired. I'm beginning to fear they were right. ~One Voice

Town Meeting, Cincinnati Style

America can be proud! September 5, 2009 was a glorious day for ths country. Tea Parties have been celebrated all across this country for several months now and the Tea Party Express is making it's way across the nation and will wind up in Washington, D.C. to confront Congress with the message that we are taking back America.
Today, it was Cincinnati's turn to turn out and have their "town meeting." Though the guest speakers didn't arrive until after five o'clock, the crowd was vocal but considerate. There were lots of signs celebrating America and voicing displeasure at Obama and Congress. I stood with the rest of them for over 4 hours on a sunny, hot day and my heart swelled with pride at the turn out of people. There were over 18,000people that gathered from north of Columbus, Ohio to Kentucky and Indiana. Some drove several hours just to be there.
I was forced to leave earlier than I had planned and missed the last 2 speakers, but even at that, the overwhelming message that came through loud and clear was this: We want to take back America. While Obama plots and schemes, Americans let their representatives in Washington know, we are not pleased and want the healthcare bill defeated.
Most Americans don't want a healthcare plan run by the government. The overall consensus was less government, more freedom. Most all the people want to work for a living and don't want the government telling them how to spend their money. Few people believe that spending more money will get us out of the economic miseries we're experiencing now.
As an attendee, I was proud to be a part of this wonderful day. And yes, I was a little uncomfortable over the long, hot afternoon, but the pain was well worth the joy and pride I take in this country.
And though there were probably more Republicans in attendance, party was not an issue. This was a group of Americans fighting for what they believe in.
Invitations went out to both sides of the aisle, but only Repbulicans accepted and came to the town meeting to be confronted by their constituents.
The crowd wasn't raucous and shouting, but were gracious while still getting their points across. Many flags flew proudly and red, white and blue dominated the color scheme.
I found it interesting that some local news stations skimmed over the huge crowds and focused instead on a small meeting at the West Chester Library of Obama healthcare supporters. There were perhaps about 50 people in attendance.
I wonder if Obama's visit tomorrow will be as well attended as our tea party.
Kudos to all the Cincinnati Tea Party volunteers for a job well done. The event was well organized with plenty of information available on the Tea parties efforts to get the word out on petitions and amendments that will affect us all.
It was a brilliant move to make copies of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence available to all who attended.

"The Green Czar" Admitted Communist

Every day the news goes from bad to worse. Van Jones, the new "Green Czar" appointed by Obama, is an admitted Communist. This man is definitely a "white hater." I heard him speaking with my own ears and I am appalled that this man has the ear of a sitting President.
He is also an admitted "9/11 Truther." This is a group that believes that George Bush and the United States government plotted and planned the 9/11 attacks, killing thousands of people in the World Trade Centers and the Pentagon. How did people like this get into a position of power? Thank you, Mr. President! You are looking more foolish every day. It's obvious that this country has made a huge mistake in electing this man.
I am very worried for this country. People with little or no knowledge of how this country works have voting rights and they don't even have the common sense to question who is running and what their platforms are. I fear for our future when we must leave the leadership choices to the uninformed masses of young people who are reaching voting age.
"A man is judged by the company he keeps." Need I say more? All of these negative characters that surround Obama can't help but pull him down. And you can't tell me that he is clueless in these appointments. If he has turned over selection of these appointees to Raum Emanuel and the other "Chicago Mafia" team members, his judgment is definitely skewed.
Van Jones needs to be replaced immediately if Obama wants to retain any credibility in this country. To appoint a known communist to a high White House level position is totally insane. Supposedly this man was vetted, but the question is who was doing the vetting?
This is more than a Republican vs. Democratic issue. This is a question of doing what is right for the country and for all Americans. ~ One Voice

Cincinnati Tea Party

Saturday, September 5, 2009 at the Voice of America Park, Cincinnati gets its turn to hold a Tea party. Guests will include Senate Minority Leader John Boehner, Representative Jean Schmidt, and Republican candidate for Governor, John Kasich. There were many Democrats invited to attend but so far none has accepted. Gee, I wonder why!
Recently Steve Driehaus appeared at a Republican sponsored event to answer questions from his constituents. It was open to anyone who wanted to attend. Apparently, Mr. Driehaus did not fare well. Perhaps he is hiding because his constituents were not pleased with his performance to date.
I am a little disappointed that the guests will not be appearing until late in the program, only an hour before the scheduled event closing.
Next week Obama is scheduled to go on the air waves yet again to discuss the Obamacare plan. It is rumored that he will back off the plan and try to get parts of it passed without the public option. We'll see.

Who knows? With the current administration's efforts to stifle our right to speak out and be heard, this privilege may not be with us for long. And I hope everyone will follow along with me and refuse to vote for anyone who votes with Obama on this travesty called healthcare reform. ~One Voice

The Democratic Healthcare Push

It's coming soon, folks! Senator Harry Reid has stated that if the Rebpulicans don't make the Obamacare a bi-partisan bill, the Democratic Congress will push it through on their own. Despite what the people want they are going to pass healthcare reform. Apparently, it doesn't matter what the people think.
As we speak there is a busload of people heading to D.C. to voice their displeasure with the way Congress is behaving. Will it do any good? I doubt it.
The Congress seems to think they are above reproach of any kind. They just don't get it. They think they can ride roughshod over the people and there will be no recrimination.
Guess again, people! We are mad as hell that you won't listen to us and we will take action, Harry. Your poll numbers are already double digits below your opponents. You will not have the power long, Harry. And anything you push through this year will only fuel the fires against you and your fellow Democrats. And don't think Obama is going to help you becuase he'll be going in 2012.
Remember it is the people who put you where you are and if you don't listen to them, why on earth would they send you back to do more harm to this country?
The tide is turning as more and more Americans refuse to take a back seat and let the Congress push something they don't want upon them.
The Democratic majority doesn't want to listen. In fact, they want to take away our right to free speech. They're working on removing differing viewpoints from the air waves right now.
Didn't they take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution? They are doing everything they can to abolish the rights established by our fore-fathers. Don't let them get away with taking away our rights and freedoms.
The time to act is now. Write you Congressmen and Senators and let them know where you stand. Just say NO! ~ One Voice

Racism: The Great Divide

Nothing enrages me more than to hear the term racist. We've been hearing it pretty often of late. Webster defines racism as "the belief that one's race is superior." When we criticize someone of another race because we don't agree with their beliefs or principles, how is that racism? Just because they look different than we do and we don't agree with them, that's racism?
Glenn Beck, a recent guest on The O'Reilly Factor called Obama a racist, that he doesn't like white people. Big mistake, I'll admit. He was stating his own personal opinion. While I never much cared for this man's program (a top rated show in the 5:00 time slot on FOX against the other networks), I defend his right to state his opinion. A group called colorofchange.com, a proven Obama affiliated organization, has struck a campaign to have all advertisers boycott this show. And supposedly 33 have done so.
But the boycott seems to have strengthened the numbers backing Beck. While I don't agree with his comments I applaud his fearless attitude. This is America and he can say what he feels. That's what freedom of speech means. The same way this colorofchange.com site can state their opinion. But what I am against is a group of people who clearly have "racial issues" and can start a campaign to ruin a person's life.
Are we coming down to fighting the civil war all over again? Sometimes I think that's where we are headed. I find no fault with a black man being president; that doesn't mean I have to agree with his beliefs. Does that make me a racist?
I've said before that we need to stop the namecalling, but that's a two way street, folks. When black groups attack white people, are we not allowed to defend ourselves without being labeled racists?
Why can't we just get along and work together for the common good of this country without injecting vitriol and race into everything we do?~ One Voice

What Do Americans Want?

Talk to the voters under 25, and you'll hear praise and glory for Obama. He's the Messiah come back to save the world.
Talk to the older voters and you'll hear an entirely different story. They can't wait for the next election to vote against him.
Who's right? What do the majority of Americans want?
They want jobs, Mr. Presidnet. With an increase in jobs, the economy goes up, the government gets more money and the people are happy. Without jobs, there is no money to spend on cars from GM gov or any other car company. No money to spend on food, let alone purchase extras, like clothes, houses, and big screen TV's. Have you looked at how many people have declared backruptcy in the last couple of years, Mr. President? People need jobs before healthcare plans, before worrying about the wars, before they care what happens around the world. Where are all those jobs you were going to create? No one is hiring Mr. President. More and more companies are laying off workers. Is this the America you envisioned?
I keep hearing stories that this is what the Democrats want: the people on the government rolls. Keep them down, don't let them get ahead. More government, less choice. I hope that isn't true but I haven't seen much evidence to the contrary. If Obama gets his way, and they pass this healthcare package, there will be even more people laid off when all the insurance companies go under. And they will go under. No one will be able to go lower than the government plan because of business overheads and payrolls that have to be met. Nothing to be done but downsizing and finally, bankruptcy and closure. Then he'll have his public system and more people than ever living off the government.
I never thought I'd see us living off the government and being cheered on to do it. I thought this was a country where people had a strong work ethic and people were encouraged to get off welfare and work for a living. I never thought I'd see us go into another depression. Yes, I said depression. We are a hair's breadth away from it right now.
So, Mr. President, we need jobs to survive in this country. If you'd get everyone back to work, there would be money going into Social Security and Medicare and those programs could be saved. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.
Our fore-fathers must be spinning in their graves at the way this country is being run now. Did you know these far left progressives have taken any mention of fore-fathers out of school textbooks? And Teachers can't get jobs, Mr. President. That's a sad commentary to our education system.
Change, yes we can! I see a big change coming. There was another president around when the country was in dire straits, Mr. President. Jimmy Carter, perhaps you've heard of him? He had a short run and so will you, Mr. President. ~One Voice

The Tea Party Movement

I don't know who started the first one or who had the idea to protest under the Tea Party emblem, but can you see the irony of it? Such an important part of our historic fight for freedom and oppression from the British is reborn in the protest against higher taxes 200 plus years after we bought our freedom. And it has grown into movements of another kind: those in control seek to silence our very freedom of speech. Their bullying tactics will push through Obamacare if we don't stop them.
I understand the fear factor. The people rise up against the government and threaten anarchy. True, there are some anarachists ready to take guns in hand and storm the government offices, but actual everyday citizens are just voicing their God given right to do so. Perhaps there is so much shouting is becuase the government won't listen to what we have to say.
But they're afraid of us, folks! Afraid that we'll upset their apple carts filled with healthcare plans that can only fail. That we'll turn the voters against the administration that they worked so hard to put in place. Congress is the puppeteer and they pull Obama's strings and push and pull him in the directions they want him to go. Not that the insurance programs we have now are perfect. They need overhauling but not at the expense of the elderly. Not at the expense of people's jobs. This plan will bankrupt the private care insurance companies and put even more people out of work. Since Obama doesn't know what's in the plan, it makes you wonder whose plan it really is. But I think we know, don't we?
Leave the insurance companies alone. If you can't run the government programs you know have, how can you possibly run a new one?
You don't have the money, Mr. President! And you promised you would cut taxes not raise them on 95% of the American people. Did you lie, Mr. President?
You are not fulfilling your campaign promises, Mr. President. Don't be surprised if we fire you!

Lift your voice and let it be heard, politely, please. But the louder our voices, the more they will have to listen. Because, and this is the truth, we are the power! Not Congress, not the President, but the American people. Stand up for America!~

Obama's Overexposure

Is anyone else as tired of seeing the President give speeches on television as I am? I don't remember any other President hitting the airwaves on an every day basis the way Obama does. He must have got the teleprompter fixed!
I know he's trying to sell us on his healthcare plan, but please give us a break! These 2 hour speeches are starting to get on my nerves. What can he possibly say today that he hasn't said yesterday or the day before?
Now I'm all for the President giving us updates from time to time, but every day? Count the days if you don't believe me. If George W. Bush had done something like this the media wouldn't have covered it. Or they would have been ripping him apart. But Obama can stand up there and hem and haw all over the place when he doesn't have his teleprompter running, no one says a word.
Well, I don't know about you but I'm certainly suffering from Obama overload. The sad thing is when he does have something important to say, people will be tuning him out. I guess his sympathisers can't get enough of him, and I will admit, I'm not interested in hearing one more time how he inherited this huge deficit.
It's been 8 months he's been in office and he is still laying the deficit blame at G.W.'s feet.
I think it's high time he owned the mess he's made. G.W. only went along with the bail out for the banks and car companies becuase he was leaving and Obama asked him to support him. So he did and Obama has the nerve to blame it on him!
I heard someone in the Grand Junction crowd complain today because he was playing the same old tune. And I agree, it's time he got over himself.
If Obama doesn't have anything better to do than run around the country making speeches, I can think of a few things. Like reading the healthcare bill that is supposed to be his baby and he doesn't even know what's in it. Like try to save Social Security. Like strategize to find Osama Bin Ladin and win the war in Afghanistan. Like find somewhere for the Gitmo prisoners to go if he really intends to close the base.
There are a few issues awaiting resolution, if he's not forgotten that healthcare isn't the only cause for concern in this country.
Give us a break, Mr. President. We don't need another TV star; we have plenty of those as it is. Do the job you were hired to do. ~

White House Emails

The word going out is that the White House has resorted to sending out emails to private citizens to get their support for the Obamacare health bill. The question is how did they get these email addresses? Is big brother spying on the internet? Or is the Internet Czar capturing all we are writing and forwarding it on to the White House staff?
Yesterday, Major Garrett of Fox News broached the subject with Press Director Gates. He stammered around and finally just ignored the implications, without an answer (his usual response when he doesn't know the answers to the questions). Apparently a large number of people receiving these emails are concerned because the government or someone has obtained all these addresses and are forwarding their form of propaganda to their inboxes.
If George Bush had attempted to do something like this, the ACLU would be screaming about invasion of privacy, and threatening impeachment. The news media would be all over it.
It seems that the far left agenda is safe from any kind of watch dog group. Apparently, right wingers have no rights!
The President doesn't seem to be interested in the will of the American people. He continues to blow millions of dollars on traveling around to deliver his ultimatum. That's what it is folks! We will have the healthcare program whether we want it or not. Never mind that 52% of Americans don't want the program and are happy where they are. They don't want a government run program and who can blame them? The only thing the government can do is bankrupt every program it gets its hands on.
Why don't they give us programs to put people back to work? That would solve a great deal of the problems with the systems we already have. More people working will generate more funds for Social Security and Medicare. Then they could fix the problems with those systems. Stop making giveaway programs available to those who refuse to work and are here illegally. Then maybe we would have enough money for Social Security benefits for the people who have worked all their lives for them.
It makes me nervous when the government starts interfering and having too much say in our lives. Socialism is the far left agenda, and folks, it isn't far away. First, they'll take the insurance and make it federally funded. Private insurance companies will die, more people will be out of work. And those who still have jobs will see the government step in and tell us how much we can make and where we can spend our money. They already tell us what we can eat or drink. If we can smoke and where we can smoke. They've taken over the banks and the car companies.
They're trying to take away our right to assembly and the leaders are calling voicing our opinons, "un-American", labeling us as rabblerousers and evil-doers because we object to their plans.
I, for one have had enough. If this is progress, take me back to the good old days where our only enemy was an Indian or King George III.

Nancy Pelosi In Trouble Again

When Nancy Pelosi speaks good people everywhere cringe. I thought Joe Biden was the king of the gaffes but Nancy's quickly catching up with him. When commenting on the Town Meeting dilemmas, she called the citizens protesting the new healthcare plan "un-American." If people don't agree with her plans or agendas, they are un-American.
The American people don't want this legislation crammed down their throats. They don't want their private insurance taken from them. And it is their God given right to protest against unfair representation. One of their main concerns is that the Congressmen and women read the bill. Is that too much to ask? And it bothers me that suddenly the far left is calling for investigations on these protests. It was perfectly all right for the Vietnam War protests that they organized. No one said a word about their protests being unfair. Shouldn't conservatives be given the same right? Where is the ACLU now?
I imagine that our forefathers are turning over in their graves at the way the country is being run now. The hard fought freedoms that they bought with their blood are slowly slipping away as we get closer and closer to a socialistic state.
We thought when Reagan told Gorbachev to "tear down these walls" and Communism fell, that our worries were over. That our enemies were finally defeated. But new enemies have emerged and they're tearing the country apart. They are slowly extinguishing the bright light of freedom. And all from inside of our own government. We have leaders now who are from the far left and their agendas are against the very nature of the first government.
So Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid fight to destroy the very foundations of this country and denigrate Americans for being Americans. If left alone, the liberals will totally change this country. It's already started.
Write, phone, and email your Congressmen and women and let them know how displeased your are with them. You are their boss. It's your decision as to whether you send them back to Washington or not.

Sarah Palin: Love her or Hate her?

She's brash, she's direct, and she's outspoken. But why do so many people hate her? I have a theory that I'll get to in a moment.
Sure, she's been in the public eye as the running mate of John McCain and as the governor of Alaska. As a public figure on the national stage, she was bound to stir up controversy and plenty of criticism. But what this woman has experienced on a personal level borders on insanity.
I get that once you step on the public stage, you are open for criticism. But this is more than criticism when your children are held up to public ridicule. This is intolerable! When did families become fair game for the media's attacks? Comedians and late night talk show hosts have always made fun of candidates. I understand that, but since when is it permissable to attack a candidate's children? Would Hillary Clinton have put up with this? Or Laura Bush? I don't think so. Sarah Palin, as a parent, was perfectly correct to stand up for her children's rights.
What kind of society have we become that the media can ruin a person's life just because they can? A very sad society indeed. What this woman has had to endure is reprehensible. The media can tear apart family life in this country without batting an eye. They are biased in their coverage. They can ridicule Sarah Palin's family but when John Edwards adultery scandal hit, they didn't say a word.
They can ridicule a woman's right to value life, even a life that will undoubtedly offer complications. They talk about giving a woman the right to choose and when she opts for having a special needs child, she is forced to suffer slings and arrows because of that choice. I applaud Sarah Palin for her choice to have and care for a special needs child. He will have a tough road ahead of him without being made fun of in the media.
As to the reason behind the media's constant attacks on this woman, I can only suggest that they fear her. Why else would they keep hammering away at her? Every public speaking engagement she attends is well attended. She offers enthusiasm and she's down to earth, just what this country needs. Whether she chooses to go into higher office or not, she is well liked by the people who support her.
Unfortunately, those big old boys that run the Republican party will probably not let her in. She's a threat to them as well.
If she does opt for public life, will she continue to face ridicule? Probably, because the all powerful Media is going to continue to make her life difficult. Once you step onto the public stage, you expect it. But leave her family alone! ~

Name Calling Goes Too Far

We have reached an all time low in this country. Not everyone agrees with each other. That's okay. That's what America is all about~the freedom to express your thoughts and debate with each other.
What is not all right is the vitriol namecalling that is going on in the media. I have to admit I listen to Rush and agree with most of what he says. I do not agree with calling the Democratic Party "Nazis." I do not agree with Mike Molloy (sp) calling for Glenn Beck to commit suicide on the air. Debate is fine. Personal attacks are not. Case in point, becuase Lou Dobbs of CNN had the nerve to question Obama's citizenship, he has been attacked. Not only Mr. Dobbs, but his wife and children as well.
It's okay, people! You can have different points of view. But it's not okay to personally attack someone because they disagree with you.
They talk about Rush Limbaugh, but he's not the only one. And he is not singling anyone out and attacking them personally. He's attacking the party as a whole. Not that I excuse anyone for referring to the party as Nazis. I do not agree with the party because I am a conservative. For example, I do not agree with censorship and that's on the agenda for Congress. To close down radio talk shows again limiting our freedoms.
If you don't like what talk radio is saying, you don't have to listen. But to punish the American people who want to listen is just plain wrong.
This is America! Congress needs to stop messing with our freedoms. ~ One Voice

"Dangerous Nuts"

Have you heard the latest? The Obama spin goes like this: If you show up at town meetings or rallies where your Congressional representatives are appearing, and you don't agree with the healthcare plan and voice your opposition, you are a dangerous nut!
When I mentioned losing our liberties in my first blog post, I wasn't kidding. Now they're working on freedom of speech. You aren't allowed to be disrespectful, and I get that, but if you disagree with those in power, you are a dangerous nut.
The Obama news media doesn't even cover these meetings. The far left is too busy bending over backwards to bow down to the President to report the real news.
Since when is it wrong to express our displeasure at being railroaded into something we don't want? Let the country hear your raised voices against this tyranny! The majority of people with insurance coverage in this country are happy with their plans. It is unfortunate that not all are covered but what about Medicaid? Wasn't Medicaid started to help those who didn't have insurance? Why not fix the problems instead of starting a new one that they have no hope of financing?
The voice of dissent is not screaming for anarchy. They're saying "Read The Bill." Both parties had better listen to their constituents. 'Cause guess what? Come November 2010 there's going to be some big changes in D.C.
This "dangerous nut" is proud to lend a voice to the effort to stop an idiotic plan that will bankrupt our nation. ~ One Voice

Healthcare Obama Style

I don't know about you, but I'm just plain scared! From what I've heard the new healthcare plan is another of Obama's welfare programs that give the government more control over our lives. So tell me, how are we different from socialism? From communism where the government tells us what we can eat, what we can drink, what we can drive, and what doctor and hospital we can go to? The thing that concerns me the most is now that I'm getting older, suppose the doctor they choose for me says "Oh, you're too old for that expensive procedure. Too bad!"
Don't tell me they won't because I won't believe you. Part of this new plan is preparing for end of life care. So now the government will be deciding when it's time for us to die!
Please people wake up! Write, call, visit your congressmen, senators, anyone who can help us stop this travesty. Hit them where it hurts - at the ballot box.
I understand that healthcare needs to be overhauled. But not abolished! We have the best healthcare system in the world. But listening to Obama lie over and over again and tell us we can keep plans that we already have if we want is a bad joke. How long do you think we'll have those plans available? Companies will not offer insurance and we'll be forced to rely on the government plan. Because of the lower cost of government run healthcare everyone will opt to go that route and insurance companies will collapse. That means more layoffs, more unemployment, more people on welfare. Freedom Under Attack

Welcome to my political blog. There are a lot of problems facing this country today. And one of the biggest problems facing us is the loss of our freedoms.
Our forefathers established this nation and set forth certain rights that are now being threatened as we speak. Our bill of rights was created by men who were much wiser than the political candidates of today. They must be turning over in their graves at how today's leaders are running this country.
A country that was founded on freedom has but a tenuous hold on those freedoms as men and women who sit in Congress are slowly trying to take them away little by little. They tell us they are doing what must be done for our own good, but they lie. They are only interested in pursuing their agendas with little regard to the people they are supposed to represent.
If we keep ignoring the warning signs, those who sit in power will continue to take away our freedoms.
They are already trying to remove the basis upon which this nation was formed: Christianity. First they took prayer out of schools. Now I have no problem with the separation of church and state within reason. But why do we have to demolish the very foundation on which this country was built.
The next freedom in jeopardy is the right to bear arms. If the NRA wasn't so powerful, we would already have gun control and the right to bear arms would have been taken away. It's only a matter of time before they take the guns. Now I'm all for strict rules when it comes to guns, but all the legislation in the world is not going to stop a criminal from getting a gun.
Why do we have to change a country's laws when it's the people's attitudes and behaviors we need to change?
