I thought it was over. Health Care passed, much to my regret, and since our wonderful Congress didn't get exactly what they wanted, they're going to bring it up again. The Public Option, that was stricken from the original bill, is surfacing yet again thanks to the die hard democrats who will not be denied any chance to tax Americans to death.
I guess the thirteen trillion dollar deficit wasn't high enough to suit them. They haven't bankrupted this nation yet; but give them time, they will. The idiots who raised this latest ploy have the temerity to say "It will save us money." How dumb do they think we are?
They are determined to drive insurance companies out of business, thereby, taking over another industry so they can control us all. "We're going to save billions of dollars to pay down the deficit." If you buy that, I have a bridge I'd like to sell you.
It never stops with these tax and spend thrift democrats. Spend, spend, spend, that's all they know how to do. They know that defeat is waiting for them in November, so they're going to ram through every piece of legislation that they want between now and then. And, apparently, there's nothing that can be done to stop them.
The government cannot manage any program they have created. And yet, this is the be all and end all of insurance plans. It will save the country from the evil big business-run insurance companies.
I got news for Pelosi and Reid. All of these laws you are passing will be repealed in the new year. Americans are sick and tired of Congress not listening to us. You cannot continue to ignore the will of the people. We do not want this plan; we did not want the last one either. And just because President Obama will still be in office doesn't mean he can veto the repeals. The House can override his vetoes. Because by that time, the Republicans will once again be in charge. And Ms. Pelosi and Mr. Reid will be but a bad memory.
They have shamed the Capitol with their shenanigans and plots to dismantle this country. It's time to show them who's really in charge: the people. ~ One Voice

Complacency Among the Republicans?
Are the Republicans merely biding their time until November's elections? Sure of a landslide victory and visions of ruling the House and Senate once again, are they counting their chickens too soon?
Sitting back and doing nothing to block Democratic legislation is not the way to inspire loyalty among their constituents. Do they think that because they are incumbents that they will be a shoe in? They had better be watching what has happened so far. Very few incumbents are getting back in. People are sick and tired of business as usual in the Washington circle. By letting the Democrats have whatever they want, they are only buying trouble. This latest ploy may very well backfire in the end.
I'd like to believe that the Republicans are smarter than that. But to lie back and do nothing, making no effort to stop the Obama machine, may be viewed by their constituents are a big mistake.
With the Tea Party revolution putting forth more candidates for office, there is no guarantee that Republicans won't face the same fate as their esteemed colleagues across the aisle. Not all Republicans are winning their races. Hint: Don't take anything for granted. When you least expect it, defeat can be snatched from the hands of victory.

NAACP Takes on the Tea Party
It's amazing the slings and arrows that are flying back and forth at the Tea Party. Charges of racism spread across the country like wildfire in a summer drought. The head of the NAACP is leading the race. Mr. Jealous (I wonder, is he?) is busy hurling accusations of racism and yet, no proof is given; no offenses cited.
We keep hearing about that incident in which a member of Congress was spit upon, but no witnesses ever saw it; no pictures or films ever surfaced showing the incident.
Granted, when you have a large group, you are bound to have a few radicals spring up, and those who do anything to denigrate persons of a certain color or religion, should be punished. But the majority of Tea Party advocates are wholesome Americans who want to return the country to its greatness and escape the far left thinking that put us in this mess of massive debt. And when questioned about the apparent racism within the NAACP, Mr. Jealous vehemently denies any such thing exists.
Not to call Mr. Jealous a liar; but he seems to be stretching the truth a bit. In any large group there are radical members who, by today's terminology, would be called racists. It's a fact of life.
The NAACP was founded to help the black people who were oppressed; the down and out black families who were persecuted and too poor to pull themselves up and get themselves out of the ghetto. The NAACP doesn't have much to complain about today. They are becoming stoic with no where to go. The militant black groups have taken over, unfortunately, and are getting all the attention in the black community.
Some of them are racists; those who stand and block the polls and prevent citizens from voting by acts of intimidation. But if a white person claimed those blocking the poll entrances were racists, the white people would be condemned.
Another example of the double standard when it comes to racism in this country. And those on the far left are quick to jump to their defense. No one can disagree with the left or we're called racists. So I guess that makes all conservatives racists. If that is the case, I am proud to be one.
Much is being heard from the New Black Panthers, the ones who intimidated the white people, wielding their nightsticks and threatening people, trying to keep them from voting in Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love, in 2008. The Department of Justice had a viable case against these men, but were told to drop the case. It is said this decree came directly from the White House with the edict: we will not prosecute blacks.(Already 2 whistelblowers are calling for an investigation and have quit their posts over this scandal.)
At the end of August, there will be a gathering in Washington D.C. to celebrate our founding fathers and the heroes this country has known, black and white, German, Jew, Native American. It is not a political event and yet, the NAACP and other black groups are trying to turn the event into a political statement. They have announced they will be there. They are incensed because this happens to be the 47th anniversary of Martin Luther King's march of freedom. According to them, we have the audacity to plan an event on the same day of the historic march on Washington. How sad this world has become.
For as long as we live, we will never be able to hold our events on any days when Martin Luther King or any other black leader did something. If we do, we will forever be identified as racists.
This is not the America I grew up loving. This is not the America I was taught to revere and honor. It's come down to a name calling society and we are not getting better. We are getting worse. Shame on this America! Shame on all those who hate America, yet continue to get rich on the backs of their brothers; shame on all those who think that violence and brother killing brother is the answer; and shame on all those men who want to destroy this country and turn it into a third world cesspool. That is not the America I want, and I will fight until I draw my last breath to keep that from happening. ~ Aunt Millie

Al Quaeda Attack Kills 74 in Uganda
Amid talk of the NASA chief's new mission being to build up relations with the Muslims, here comes another attack from Al Quaeda. In a restaurant in Uganda, people were watching the final World Cup game when the restaurant was blown up.
It doesn't matter how much dialogue Obama pushes; no matter how many attempts at peace, when you are dealing with terrorists, you cannot reason with them; they are murderers.
I couldn't believe it when I heard that the newly appointed NASA chief's main responsibility would be to work to acknowledge the Muslims in fields of science and technology. Did you ever hear of a Muslim scientist furthering travel in space? Did you ever hear of scientific efforts going forward in Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan?
These are the places that are built on the sand of the desert or mountainous rocks where people live in caves. Where will they be launching rockets?
Every day more bits of news trickle out of the White House that make me wonder how on earth this man ever got elected. Oh, yes, I forgot, we know how he got elected. With subterfuge and questionable groups like Acorn registering anyone and everyone to vote, saying things like "Oh, we got to vote for Obama." I actually heard this registration process happening in downtown Cincinnati. No qualifying documents were asked for. No registration or tax information was flashed. Just signatures going on the forms without any checking or verifying whether or not these people were citizens. By now we've pretty much seen all the exposes on Acorn. We know a great many members of that organization were manipulating the system.
But I digress. Ever since Obama was elected, our country has been put in harm's way, both economically and physically. While this Al Quaeda attack didn't happen on our soil, Americans were injured or killed. And our leader still wants to pat them on the back and be friends?
This is the third such attack since he took office or is it more? Perhaps I've lost count. You can't reason with terrorists, Mr. President. Terrorists are out to destroy this country. Or is that what you want too, Mr. Obama?
I've heard it said that people who hate this country are running it now. Perhaps that's true. Perhaps their aim is to destroy us from the inside out. We've heard a lot of blaming George Bush for everything from the economy to hurricanes. Here's one thing I do credit George Bush for: after 9/11 he kept us safe. You don't hear Obama giving him credit for that.
So the NASA chief, Bolden, will work on cozying up to the Muslims. And Obama will continue to apologize for the United States to anyone who will listen.
November is coming. Armageddon for the Democrats is at hand. As for me, I cannot wait. ~One Voice

Big Brother is Watching
Eric Holder has said that the federal government will be watching Arizona's handling of the new immigration law to make sure they they don't engage in profiling. Here comes big brother trying to tell the states what they can and cannot do.
This blog has a list of the first ten amendments to the Constitution and if you look closely, the tenth amendment states "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the State, are reserved to the States respectively or to the people."
If the government would not act to enforce the laws already passed at the federal level and the state saw fit to enact their own law to protect, and defend their state, can the government threaten their actions with a lawsuit?
The Constitution laid down the laws of this nation so that the government could not take away the rights and freedom of our country. It was a means of protection, divined by men much more intelligent and wiser than those who are attempting ti desecrate this precious document.
Isn't it amazing? We've just passed this nation's 234th birthday, and right on the heels of the celebrations, the Attorney General can go on television and announce his intentions to sue a state for trying to enact a law to save the people from thieves and vandals who threaten their safety in their own homes. More and more illegal aliens are crossing the border with guns and drugs, determined to get into this country.
All of us had ancestors who came to this country looking for a better life. And no one begrudges people in search of a better world - as long as they follow the rules and enter this country legally. As it is now, we are having to contend with more and more illegals who come here, either to work or to rob, pillage and kill Americans if they get in their way.
How many illegals who are guilty of violent crimes are sitting in our jails right now? We feed, clothe and house millions of them who have no other thought than to injure the people who live along the borders because these people dared to defend their land from drug runners and gang members. And how many terrorists are entering that we don't even know about who want to launch jihadist attacks on Americans?
Without border patrols, and the enforcement of laws to protect our citizens, how do we stop all of it?
Big Bother is out there watching us. The government we have today is run by no better men than those who creep across our borders wishing to do harm to Americans. If we let them get away with this, how long before they censor our words, or take our guns away, or tell us we can't go to church anymore?
It can happen just like that. We lose our economy and the country has no money or no food and we can very easily find the government taking over our lives. That's how Hitler took over Germany.
It can happen anywhere in the world, if we let it. The time has come to guard our freedoms from those who would oppress it. One day they'll tell us they're protecting the country by guarding what we say on the Internet and the next day, they'll tak the Internet away because it can be used against the United States.
Guard those freedoms while we can. And beware of Big Brother. We need to let stand up to those who want to denigrate the United States. Read those documents that were once so important to this country. Read about our forefathers and what these brilliant men did for us, and never forget the true meaning of America. ~ One Voice

Double Standards
The government is suing Arizona for passing an immigration law. But they will not prosecute the two Black Panther members who intimidated white voters in the 2008 elections to prevent them from voting. This is clearly breaking the law.
Have you noticed that there seem to be two sets of laws for the Obama administration? Talk about racism!
There is clearly a double standard when it comes to Democrats and Republicans in office. If George W. Bush were in charge and he refused to prosecute those Black Panthers, all hell would have broken loose. The media would have been all over it. But no one is saying a word about this. When it was revealed that Chris Dodd took a sweet deal from Countrywide for favors, was he punished? No, it was pretty much a couple of comments on the evening news and just as quickly pushed into the background. When Tom DeLay was accused of misdeeds, his story was plastered all over every paper and TV station in the land. His career was ruined and he was threatened with jail time. To this day, nothing has been proven. And, in Chris Dodd's case, he conveniently decided to retire, not because his career was in ruins or that he was being prosecuted, but because he knew he had no chance of winning the next election.
Again, two sets of rules are in play.
It is a sad state of affairs that the people of this country let things like this happen and don't fight back against this kind of treachery.
You may remember a little while back that Nancy Pelosi called the CIA liars. Nothing came of that. Had it been a republican it would still be playing on the news until retribution was dealt out.
It is time that all Americans demand accountability equally among party representatives. If someone breaks the law, they need to pay for their crime.
By the same token, if any citizen commits a crime, he is arrested, tried, and serves time if he is found guilty. It is against the law to intimidate anyone to keep them from voting, black or white. It has nothing to do with race and everything to do with the law.
The Black Panthers broke the law and should be punished. Is Obama going to let every black person who commits a crime, escape justice?
All Arizona was doing was passing a law, just like the federal law on immigration that the government refuses to enforce that is already on the books. The only reason this is becoming an issue is because Obama wants to "legalize" all illegals so he can get their vote in the next election.
It's called Obama politics and he intends to win no matter what. Americans need to wake up and see him for what he is. It's time to stop the double standards of the political machine. I'm not just talking about Democrats either. Both sides have their faults. And it's up to us, as Americans, to stop this tide of unfairness. ~One Voice

Michael Steele: Should He Stay or Go
Words spill out often before we can stop them. Before we think what they mean or who they will impact. Michael Steele's statements about the Afghanistan War were inappropriate to say the least. In saying that this war couldn't be won does a disservice to the men and women in uniform who are fighting to win. No soldier wants to hear that he's fighting for a lost cause.
Quickly thoughts of Vietnam jump into our heads. Nine years later and still fighting how can we not think of the quagmire of Vietnam? But to say to these brave young men and women that they are wasting their time; fighting a battle that will never be won is a ridiculous thing to say. Vietnam was a political war; and we now have a leader in place who won't let that happen, General Petreus. If those in power try to manipulate him, he will likely follow General McChrystal into retirement.
Many people are calling for Steele to step down as chairman of the Republican Party. He has a few advocates who are standing up for him, but the rancor in the party is growing. Can the Republicans afford to keep him as the election time is edging closer?
Can the Republicans survive the negative impact that Steele's comments could have on them? John McCain was interviewed and was quick to announce he was a "Reagan republican." Obviously an attempt to win votes away from his competition, J. D. Hayworth, as their primary grows closer. No one is fooled by such ploys.
Can we forgive the negative comments and gaffes from the chairman any easier than we do the gaffes of Joe Biden? Excuses are made continually by the behavior of the Vice President while Michael Steele is being hung out to dry.
I don't excuse these remarks, but are they any worse than "big f------ deal"? If I thought for one minute that one soldier would be placed in harm's way by his remarks, I would be the first one to demand he step down.
The fact that he put his foot in his mouth is pretty much standard operating procedure for the administration we have. It's happened early enough in the election season to be gone and forgotten by the time November rolls around. Of course, if the Obama run media has anything to do with it, they will continually bring this gaffe up to denigrate the Republicans.
It all comes down to the good of the party. Should he step down for the good of the GOP? If he doesn't and the party holds together and Republicans win big in November, this will all be forgotten. If the Democrats get back in, then, indeed, it will prove to have been a big _________deal.~ One Voice

Obviously an attempt to win votes away from his competition, J. D. Hayworth, as their primary grows closer. No one is fooled by such ploys.
Can we forgive the negative comments and gaffes from the chairman any easier than we do the gaffes of Joe Biden? Excuses are made continually by the behavior of the Vice President while Michael Steele is being hung out to dry.
I don't excuse these remarks, but are they any worse than "big f------ deal"? If I thought for one minute that one soldier would be placed in harm's way by his remarks, I would be the first one to demand he step down.
The fact that he put his foot in his mouth is pretty much standard operating procedure for the administration we have. It's happened early enough in the election season to be gone and forgotten by the time November rolls around. Of course, if the Obama run media has anything to do with it, they will continually bring this gaffe up to denigrate the Republicans.
It all comes down to the good of the party. Should he step down for the good of the GOP? If he doesn't and the party holds together and Republicans win big in November, this will all be forgotten. If the Democrats get back in, then, indeed, it will prove to have been a big _________deal.~ One Voice

Illegal Alien Reform Legislation
Barack Obama began his move to secure the elections today. His speech today proved what we've been saying all along: he will use amnesty to secure the elections in his favor.
If you watched his expression and that half smile sneer as he looked into the camera, you could see his insincerity. He doesn't give a damn about illegals and the plight of America. The only reason he wants to now talk about border security and amnesty is so he can use the illegals to help him win elections. He doesn't have a sympathetic bone in his body for these people.
Arizona's law is about to take effect later this month and up until this time, he's given no inclination to engage; no effort for the federal government to do anything. He reluctantly provided 1200 National Guard members for the border, not even half of what was asked for.
Representatives of the federal government say that this law will result in lawsuits for discrimination; that racial profiling will be used. The law is clear that police cannot stop anyone and question their citizenship UNLESS they break the law and are investigating a crime.
Again, Obama is merely using the illegals to save his job. It's just another example of using his Chicago style of politics to ram through yet another piece of legislation that America doesn't want. The Arizona law stands because it is what the majority of people in that state want.
It looks like Obama will be going on another whirlwind tour to convince the public that amnesty is the answer; worker programs are the answer. Dividing families is not the answer to this dilemma.
Worker programs will not work because when the job is finished, the workers won't leave and go back to Mexico or wherever else they've migrated from. In the meantime, the illegals will continue to drain the coffers of Social Security and Medicare. And Americans who have worked for those benefits, will be denied them because those funds will be all used up long before they were supposed to run out.
Watch for this new legislation to be in place before November. It's his last ditch effort to hold on to the House and Senate for his party. ~ One Voice
