The Chicago Machine At Work

Mayor Richard Daley's powerful political machine knows no bounds. He wanted the Olympics of 2016 in the Windy City so he used his "leverage" to get Obama's help in achieving his goal.
Payback time for the Obama administration. Dailey got him elected and it was time to pay back so there was never a "no" in this equation.
Squandering more taxpayer's money? Doesn't matter. Chicago calls, you have to answer. Roll out the jets, send Michelle and Valerie Jarrett over first. Follow her over the next day with 2 more jets plus Air Force One.
Plead your case. Send Michelle in first. Get her emotional by talking about her father's case of Multiple Sclerosis. What does that have to do with bringing the Olympics to Chicago? Follow Michelle's speech with a plea for the United States. Sell them on the idea by showing how important you are and how it's all about you. Don't mention the importance of the people who sponsor the Olympics, the athletes and how important it would be and how honored the city would be to have them and watch them participate. Just talk about yourself.
The result of all this pleading and cajoling at the feet of the Olympic Selection Committee? Dead last! That's right folks, all that wasted money and effort netted the President another stunning loss. He just can't do anything right. First healthcare and now this.
Perhaps that's the payback he deserves for putting the country's problems on the back burner. After all, what's more important? Stumping for the Olympics to be held in Chicago or facing the economic problems, the increased job losses, the healthcare debaucle, oh and yes, the issue of Iran and North Korea and their nukes. Let's just put that on hold for a day while we jet over to Denmark and plead our case.
While I never cared for Jimmy Carter's version of politics, I will give him his due. When the hostages were being held in Iran, he opted to forego his re-election campaign because he wouldn't leave Washington while the hostages were in captivity. He probably wouldn't have won anyway with the inflation and loan rates up to 23%, but at least he made a huge sacrifice. Would Obama do the same?
He must have been furious today. How dare anyone say no to him? But he put on the good face for the news conference. Poor Obama! He just can't win and 3 years from now, he won't win re-election either. That brings a huge smile to my face. ~ One Voice

Freedomworks Event 10/20/10

The Cincinnati Tea Party was honored to participate in a Freedomworks Event held at Lakota High School in West Chester on Wednesday evening, October 20th.

Guest speakers Dick Armey, former Congressman from Texas, and Matt Kibbee, who together authored "Give Us Liberty: A Tea Party Manifesto" attended giving speeches to a crowd of approximately 212 people. Also speaking were Doc Thompson of WLW Radio, who also acted as emcee, Rocky Boiman, and Adriana Inman.

The presentation was followed by a book signing of their best selling book. Book sales were handled by Linda Keller, Barnes and Noble, West Chester.

A big thank you to the Tea Parties for making this event a success.

Kasich For Governor Rally 8/21/10

The John Kasich for Governor Rally was held on 8/21/10 at the Sharonville Convention Center, Cincinnati, Ohio. A crowd of approximately 300-400 people attended.

Brian Thomas, WKRC Radio Talk Show host, emceed the event, that was well attended by local republican politicians, including Patty Clancy, Steve Chabot, Mike Wilson, and Chris Monzel. Also in attendance were Greg Hartman and Alex Triantifilou, local Republican party representatives. John Kasich was accompanied by his wife and daughters, and Mary Taylor, his running mate for Lt. Governor.

The event lasted approximately an hour.

As Americans prepare to take Washington back, so, too, will they take the state of Ohio back and return her once more to the prosperous state we remember. John Kasich is just the man to do that.

Amendments To The Constitution
Of The United States

Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peacably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Amendment II
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Amendment III
No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quarantined in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

Amendment IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Amendment V
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

Amendment VI
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previosly ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation, to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.

Amendment VII
In Suits of common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

Amendment VIII
Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

Amendment IX
The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

Amendment X
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively or to the people.
