The Christine O'Donnells and Joe Millers that won their primaries will be a fresh take on the standard status quo government problems. If they get a chance!
Rep. Murkowski, it seems, cannot take no for an answer. In a desperate bid to hang on to a job she doesn't want to give up, she has announced she will be a write in candidate on the November ballot. Not only does this move make her look like a fool, it skews the chances against the Republican party to retake the House. This ploy may very well affect the outcome and allow the Democrat to get in. May it also go on record that this candidate didn't even have the good manners to congratulate the winner of the primary, Joe Miller, a Tea Party candidate.
Down in the lower 48, in Delaware, the same thing has occurred. No congratulatory call. Perhaps he will go on to attempt the same fate, thereby sabotaging Ms. O'Donnell's campaign. As she goes on her way, campaigning, she has 2 foes to conquer: her Democratic opponent and the "old guard" republicans who don't want to allow a Tea Party candidate into their "special club."
Karl Rove can't resist the opportunity to denigrate this woman every chance he gets. He is so busy telling us what her faults are that he forgets about his own questionable reputation.
I suppose, rather than let the new kid on the block win, it is better to concede to the Democrats. I'm beginning to wonder if the republicans and democrats are working together to keep outsiders from entry into their "club."
What happened to doing what is right for the country? What happened to going after the greater good? Are these egoist snobs so self-centered that they can sacrifice doing the right thing for holding onto the power that comes with their office?
Fellows, remember that you work for us. It is "we, the people" who pay your salaries and who put you into the "club."
I hope everyone who possibly can will back the new people. It's time to send the "old guard" packing and get some fresh blood in Washington.
Right now, the Tea Party is aligning themselves with the Republicans, but this will not always be the case. One of these days, I expect to see a new party, perhaps named after the Tea Party, perhaps named The Conservative party, but I think its day is coming. After the behavior of some of the republican organizations, I think that day can't be too far off. Both republicans and democrats seem incapable of listening to the will of the people. Perhaps the new breed will. There's only one way to find out: Support them financially, if possible, and vote for them where ever possible. Our future depends on it. We can no longer trust the tried and the untrue. Career politicians must be a thing of the past. God Bless America! ~ One Voice
