Complacency Among the Republicans?

Are the Republicans merely biding their time until November's elections? Sure of a landslide victory and visions of ruling the House and Senate once again, are they counting their chickens too soon?
Sitting back and doing nothing to block Democratic legislation is not the way to inspire loyalty among their constituents. Do they think that because they are incumbents that they will be a shoe in? They had better be watching what has happened so far. Very few incumbents are getting back in. People are sick and tired of business as usual in the Washington circle. By letting the Democrats have whatever they want, they are only buying trouble. This latest ploy may very well backfire in the end.
I'd like to believe that the Republicans are smarter than that. But to lie back and do nothing, making no effort to stop the Obama machine, may be viewed by their constituents are a big mistake.
With the Tea Party revolution putting forth more candidates for office, there is no guarantee that Republicans won't face the same fate as their esteemed colleagues across the aisle. Not all Republicans are winning their races. Hint: Don't take anything for granted. When you least expect it, defeat can be snatched from the hands of victory.
Don't get me wrong, I want to see the Republicans stage a large comeback, but complacency is not the answer. ~ One Voice
